#1 Polynesian!!!! - food, atmosphere, view to MK from concierge room, walk out of room directly onto the beach
#2 AKL - food, atmosphere
#3 Contemporary - love the new room decor; from the concierge lounge or the roof outside of California Grill has great fireworks view; walking distance to MK

#1 Contemporary (Tower room, MK view) can you imagine waking up every day of your trip, looking out your window with a cup of coffee and seeing the castle? Right there? Oh, so perfect.

#2 Boardwalk - LOVE the atmosphere there, plus it's a short walk to Epcot =)

I LOVE the beach club I stay there all the time. It has the best pool and is walking distance to Epcot and a boat ride away from MGM. I Always wanted to stay at the Poly. It all depends of what kind of atmosphere you want out of a hotel and what park you want to be closest to.

MzMinnie, the answer would depend on who is going to be with you. If it is just you and a spouse or friend the answer would be the GF (IMHO). My wife and I spent our 25th there and it was without a doubt the absolute the most perfect trip we ever enjoyed. However if you are going with children then the Poly, W.L., or the Y. & B. C. (for the pool, a resort onto itself). And of course the A.K.L. As you can see, there is no simple answer. BUT whichever resort you pick, you will enjoy it, no doubt. Good luck.

One on the Monorail line. It feels like you own the Monorail.

I'm just a lowly secretary and I saved for one night at the Contemporary. Loved just hopping on the Monorail to get to MK. OH and seeing Wishes from the balcony with a cooler of beer. :D

This year I am doing one more night there for our 14th Anniversary in June. Can't wait!

Just noticed the honeymoon in your sig.

If you are looking for something really special check out the Boardwalk Inn Garden Suites.

If money is no object, I'd go with the Grand Floridian. (most luxurious, on monorail.
If money is almost no object, I'd go with the Contemporary. (first, on monorail.
Otherwise, I'd definitely stay at the Wilderness Lodge. (Best value in a Deluxe, best theming on property)

I'm sure you've heard enough opinions by now to have your head spinning, but I would have to say, if I had the funds to stay at any of the resorts, I would still choose either the Poly or Animal Kingdom Lodge. I just never cared for the decor at the GF. I'm sure the service is quite exceptional though and no one can argue with that location.

The Poly is beautifully themed and as everyone else has said, it's right on the monorail just across the lagoon from MK...magical location! AKL is very exotic and really incredibly themed. Very beautiful! It's more like an attraction than a hotel. Since we first stayed at AKL, I get looks from the family like I'm crazy if I even suggest we might stay at one of the other resorts. Downside for some is the remote location. It's never been an issue for us, we always have a car and (I believe) the busses run exclusively for that one resort, but I know for some, location is a top priority. I think both are very beautiful, exotic and romantic. If we were going with one of the EPCOT area resorts, we would definitely choose Beach Club.

Have fun deciding! If you're staying a while, you can always consider splitting your stay between two. Good luck! :)
