If you had a choice....

Would you go to Disney World the week of April 26-May 1st/2nd or end of September? I think we have narrowed our options down to these two times, as the summer is just too hot for our liking. The kids will miss school either way...

Which is better, and why? :)

we have been in early May and LOVED IT! depending on the time of Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival, that was really neat! We have not been in Sept. but went in early October 3 times and LOVED it too!!! There is the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (extra ticket event) that is cool too!

depends on what you really want! Weather should be ok either way. Sept may be a little warmer than in April/May...touch choice!!!

I prefer the fall ... decorations are nice. Loved the MNSSHP. Temps. were in the 90's when we went early Oct. Also went to Food & Wine which we LOVED!!!

Went in May ... nothing special ...no Flower & Garden when we went. Temps were a bit cooler in the 80's.

Been both times of year. Fall is our choice because of the crowds, the decorations are so pretty, and the Food and Wine festival make Epcot a great fall destination. It has been hot during Sept lately but its tolerable.

I will (hopefully) be going to Disney World at both of those times this year!

If I could only pick 1 though...I'd pick September but thats only because I've never been during the fall and seen the decorations or attend MNSSHP.

But with kids...I'd probably choose April - for school reasons. You'll miss less at the end of the school year than at the beginning. But that's really the only reason for it.

Overall - Sept. wins for the fall decorations & Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party.

too many football games in September for us. With one playing HS ball, the fall is not a vacation time, but we have enjoyed Disney in September before.

Been there both times of year and have to say that both times of year are great. Think it all depends on what you are looking for in a vacation. Here is my 2 cents on April/Sept.

April/May: Flower and garden festival is going on at Epcot! So So pretty to experience. Weather is very nice. It's hot but not overbearing! Crowds are really managable. Disney is currently offering a room discount for this time now too! We took advantage of it this year.

Sept: MNSSHP is going on, which is by far one of my favorite events! Fall decor around MK is so cute! Disney usually offers free dining this time of year. It is very hot and humid in sept and crowds are managable, but I will say over the years I have definitely seen an increase in the amount of people who visit in sept. I think that has to do with the the free dining promo.

We loved September in both 09 & 11. It was hot, around 90 when we went but the weather was great with only one rain shower that lasted maybe an hour out of 13 days total. Crowds were, what we felt, light and we waited longer for meet n greets than for rides. The MNSSHP was awesome once all the little kids went to bed and it's true that the decorations are beautiful. We have never gone in spring so I can't speak as to visits then but September is very nice.

The end of the September means Not so Scary Halloween parties at the Magic Kingdom plus Food & Wine festival at Epcot, and . . . you probably won't care about this - the 10 mile Tower of Terror race and after-party at the Hollywood Studios.

End of September it is, for me! :D
