Great question! Here are my 7 and reasons why...

1) Le Cellier- Only because i've never had the pleasure yet and all i have heard is the great reviews. Plus i'm a steak guy. Le Cellier continues to be the elusive one!
2) O'Hana (breakfast)- Had the pleasure of having breakfast here for the first time during this last trip. The great service, delicious juice and coffee, ambience, and character interaction lands this one on my top 7.
3) Tutto Italia- I know they can be hit or miss, but the several times i have dined here have been hits.
4) Chef Mickey's- Purely on behalf of my daughter... This is our fav. character meal by far. Something about getting to the Contemporary early in the mornning, knowing once you're finished you can hop the Mono and begin a Magical Day at the Kingdom.
5) Cinderella's Royal Table- I know, another character meal? What can i say, i'm a sucker for whatever my little girl wants. But seriously, as far as the food goes... it was actually very good. We went for breakfast and had the stuffed french toast... :slurp:
6) Mama Melrose- Only makes the list for us as a lunch spot. These mornings we typically eat a small breakfast at the resort, and on DHS days, we duck out of the crowds and heat for an hour or so and have a solid lunch here....then Quick Service dinner.
7)Hoop Dee Doo.. Great entertainment and food.. love the trip there by boat of course, and it's our kind of meal... we are not usually high class diners, we keep it simple... Beer/Wine chicken and the sides, we love it!

As you see we still have a lot of restaurants to try, but that's what makes this place so wonderful, always something new to try

1. Hollywood Brown Derby - my favorite, love the grapefruit cake.
2. Le Cellier - I can never get reservations, so I keep missing it but hear such great things that is has to make the list.
3. Le Chefs de France - love the food, even the escargot!
4. Rose and Crown Dining Room - great outdoor seating area and some great food.
5. Coral Reef - watching fish was never so fun while you eat them!
6. Crystal Palace - great atmosphere and probably my favorite character place.
7. San Angel Inn - again, love the atmosphere and I'm a fan of Mexican cuisine.

Plenty more that would have made the list, but these are my top 7.

1) Whispering Canyon Cafe-We LOVE dining here on our first night of vacation...there's something about the place that makes us so happy, especially if its the start of our vacation! Awesome food, beautiful resort, great atmosphere, how can you go wrong? :D

2) 50's Prime Time Cafe-Good ol' fashion cooking! Love the theming too!

3) Mickey's Backyard BBQ-Love the characters dancing with the kids and the awesome all you can eat BBQ, beer and Mickey head ice cream bars!

4) Le Cellier-Tried to get in for ever then finally was able to and loved it!

5) O'hana-Always been one of our faves, but it was a little disappointing when they axed the cheesy potatoes...ok, a LOT disappointing  but we still love it!

6) Liberty Tree Tavern-We love this place! We're sad its no longer a character meal, but we love Thanksgiving food, so this place is one of our faves!

7) Planet Hollywood-It's been kinda a tradition of ours for years now to go here sometime during our visit, so we always manage to squeeze it in!

We got some new places we've never been to on the itinerary for May's upcoming trip, so we'll see if any of them replace any of these as our favorites!

  1. Le Cellier - Never had the pleasure, but fully intend on eating there next trip and mad the ADR last night!
  2. Kona Cafe - Never eaten here either, but after seeing all the pictures and reading the reviews about the Tonga Toast, an ADR was made last night for here too. Can't wait!
  3. Coral Reef - My DF and I are obsessed with aquariums and such. This seems like the perfect atmosphere next to the tank.
  4. Les Chefs de France - This is a tradition of ours and the gourmet mac 'n cheese cannot be beat!
  5. Crystal Palace - For breakfast, another tradition.
  6. 50s Prime Time Cafe - Yet another fun tradition. Can't miss it!
  7. I'll leave this open, but it would have to be a resort restaurant with nice seafood and steaks.
Great thread! :slurp:
