If you could choose the location of the next park, where would you put it?

For me, i’d probably want the next park to open somewhere in the northeast, as I live there, and it is one of the most heavily populated areas in the country. I realize that the weather could present some issues, but it would be cool if they could pull it off, like they have in Paris.

Not gonna happen. It would cannibalize too much of WDW's attendance since they already go there.

I would put it on the right hand side of the road between Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Lots of land there, good location close to several resorts, and already on the monorail line.

Id revive Walt Disney and Robert Moses's dream of making of turning Flushing meadows into Epcot and turning Freedomland also in the area into the Magic Kingdom even you know Freedomland is long gone.

They considered that for Euro Disney at one stage. I believe the spot was where Battersea power station was but it never came to be (I read this many years ago in a book so apologies if my memory has tricked me)

Texas. Decent weather year round (which is why it cant be north) large cities, good population and easy to get to. The sad part is disneyland is in earthquake territory and someday the big one will hit. And withen the next 100 years (theory of climate change) wdw will be under water. The united states will eventually need another park. As sad as it is

Low Earth Orbit. Lots of space and equidistant to the whole earth population. Plus might encourage the aliens from moon base to spend some of their galactic credits here instead of mars. Damn martians.

Did a bit of delving this morning and I think I've two things slightly confused.

Euro Disney being in England was definitely an 'idea' at one point and I read that in a book about Eisner many years ago. I seem to remember Paris won for a number of reasons but primarily because of the tax breaks they were willing to offer Disney along with infrastructure assistance.

The Battersea Power Station area for it I think I've confused with the idea of turning Battersea Power Station into a theme park (though none Disney). You may be interested in this article where the plans are explained in detail about turning it into a theme park resembling Epcot (their description, not mine) from a while back.

Yea, cancel the bid for Fox Studios etc and put that money into WDW 52 billion would go a long way

Seriously though... They can't even maintain WDW properly. I don't think another park is the answer. And the northeast? No way - the winters stink here.
