If you can do a park twice - which one and why?

This past Christmas trip was the longest we ever stayed and we did the Magic Kingdom twice because the first time was Christmas Eve and we wanted to watch all of the Castle lighting and different shows we never seem to do. The second time was on Dec,30th for the New Years Eve early fireworks show, we did all of our favorite rides twice and had the best time.

We do Epcot twice...once at rope drop, then another day evening/night to see Illuminations.

We also do magic Kingdom twice. once during the day at rope drop to see opening ceremony and we go back another day during the night. MK is so beautiful at night.

We just do Hollywood Studios once, and it's only a half day park for us because we only do a few attractions there. (Muppets, Star Tours, TOT, RnR, and Toy Story Mania)

Strangely enough, we also do Animal Kingdom twice...Once we do it commando and ride all the rides. The second time we go back we just stroll around leisurely seeing all the animals and take our time enjoying all the scenery and shops.

I try to visit each park at least twice on every trip. Magic Kindom and Hollywood Studios are for sure parks I visit multiple times.

Epcot might be the only park I wouldn't be upset to only visit once, though it is very nice to stroll around the World Showcase with a beer to finish the night.

Depending on your budget, I would seriously consider upgrading to the hopper pass. Especially if you are staying on site. Just to hit one park in the am, take a rest and swim in the middle of the day and than hit a different park at night. For example, we only ever spend a half day in Animal Kingdom. Than we hit the hotel, swim, maybe take a nap and go to Magic Kingdom at night, see Spectromagic or Wishes. There's always a reason to go back to the Magic Kingdom. The first time we went, I debated the same thing about the hopper pass. It seemed alot more for us at first, but it was very much worth it. Either way, your in Disney and it will be a great time no matter what. Enjoy!

Thanks everyone!!
Due to budget, we cannot, unforturnately, upgrade to hopper.
Since we are staying offsite, but close, we will take the mid or late-day trips back for a swim anyways and come back for whatever we missed.
I am assuming the kids will choose MK cuz it's the original but i may be surprised.

Even tho my kids are lder, we are going to weigh the 1st day to see how they do. If they are super tired on their feet, we will most likely pick up cheapie strollers at a neighboring Kmart/walmart - i can't justify the INSANE rental fees at the World. They should think of adding a weekly rate for that and for parking.

I will post what the outcime was once we return - 9 more days and counting:sohappy:

We usually go for 10 days, so always have time to revisit a few parks, we always go back to EPCOT and MK though, definitely worthy of two days if you can spare the time. If I had to narrow it down to one for me it would be EPCOT.

On our last trip, we did 6 days at MK, 2 at DHS and 1 each at AK and EC.

This trip will be 4 at MK, 2 at DHS and 1 each at the others. We always do MK and DHS multiple times.

Pick only two huh? Well.....I can definitely take Epcot off the list. It has very little we're interested in....just a very boring park in my opinion. We can always get it done in half a day.

One park that I'd definitely return to is Animal Kingdom...one of my favorites!! Reason being is you need a day to hit all of the rides at least once if not a couple and also to walk through all the animal walking trails. But you then need a second day to go back and do the shows. On our last trip we spent our second visit to AK seeing the Finding Nemo the Musical and then right after did Festival of the Lion King. That takes up a good portion of the day especially if you have breakfast and/or dinner scheduled for another park or resort. Plus AK closes the earliest so it helps to have more days.

As for my second choice it's obviously between Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. As far as "needing" more time to hit all the rides/attractions I'd say Magic Kingdom, but we love to go back to Hollywood Studios frequently because it's just gorgeous at night. So I guess I"d have to pick both park and say on that day do Magic Kingdom starting early morning and throughout the day then head to Hollywood Studios on a night they are open late so that way you can do them both again for a second time.

Hope any of this helps and have a wonderful trip!!

I agree with afternoon naps.:snore: Being refreshed and happy makes the WDW experience much more enjoyable for you and your kids. We would go back to the room for about an hour or two, and head back out to the park for dinner till closing, and usually have enough energy for extra magic hours.:sohappy:

Personally, I would do MK twice, but Epcot is alot bigger, so you might want to go there twice. I would suggest, like someone else said, after you've been to all of them once, you will know which one you want to do again! :)

Have fun!!!
