If Disneyland can get a new show (snow white) why cant Disney World!

There are some really cute shows on the Disney Cruises, Golden Mickeys, Hercules and Disney Dreams...any of them would be good for a park show and all are better than Snow White.

The shows at WDW are pathetic compared to the shows at other Disney parks.

I think MK could use 1 major show......Cinderellabration is ok, but the park should have at least 1 major production.

The best show currently at MGM is Playhouse Disney.......it is at least the most up to date....Voyage and B&tB should be replaced, or given a major overhaul.

The DAK shows are decent, but could be better.

Epcot.....whatever happened to having Blast, Lord of the Dance, Rythyms of the World, and whatever running during the summer?

You should all check out the shows at DLP....the videos are awesome....The Tarzan and Lion King shows blow away those at WDW.

The Andrew Llyod Webber show at the boardwalk lake was going to be Noah's Ark a Fantasmic-type lagoon show.

I think when it comes to live entertainment none of the current parks can even measure up to the shows in Tokyo Disney. (WDW's Cinderellabration is merely streetmosphere compared to the awesomeness of the original).

If they get just one "complete" show from TDL (like Rhythms of the World for EPCOT or Rock Around the Mouse for MGM or Blazing Rhythms for AK) I would be sooo happy.

I have not been to TDL or DLP, but I think DLP has TDL beat for live entertainment.....

(they may not make any money, but they seem to put in a great show)

I think you may have misinterpreted my post. And what is the one clone? Cinderellabration = from Tokyo, already existing, thus can be dubbed a clone.
Soain' = from DCA, clone
Lights, Motor, Action = from Paris, clone
two of three new attractions are shows, both are clones.

Not saying that clones are bad, just highlighting that it seems the original poster was wanting original new shows, in the way that Snow White and Aladdin were original productions.

Again clones are not that bad. And the original intent of my first post was more about balance and the need for us to calm down and quit demanding new attractions every six months.

i meant rides, soarin' is the only thing we got for HCOE besides EE which is still being built.

i did not mean to say that they should build a new ride soon, what i meant was before adding more shows, the should add rides.

What is the basis of your thought?

FotLK is flat out awesome and probably rivals Aladdin. I heard the Snow White show wasn't all that great anyway.

I have seen FotLK twice, I have to admit that I was impressed the first time I saw it, and the second time is just as good. But as to your comment about Aladdin.....no it doesn't rival it. Sure you are entitled to your opinion, but I would have to disagree. I just saw the Aladdin show about twelve days ago, and it was awesome. I usually can't sit throw long "showie" type things, but this show hit me like it was supposed to be on Broadway.....it ran about 47 minutes long, and I saw it at about 6:30 PM with my two year old. He sat enthralled the whole time. That is a two year old, with no screaming, yelling, or fidgeting he was just so amazed.
The stage is awesome, the actors are phenomenal, and the stage really showcases the Disney Magic. I was amazed that the Disneyland Resort (with its cramped in space) could pull off a better show then WDW, but they have. Sure WDW is bigger and has more parks, but Disneyland is still the original, and what it has different it excels with. I grew up next to DL, and after moving to Florida and being amazed by WDW......I still have to say DL packs a punch that wont be burning out any time soon.

Actually, I think I read in a Disney stockholder magazine, that they would be building a new theatre at the MGM Studios, to hold a show about one of the princesses...

I'm not saying Disney should do all these things now...but a little hint of the future would be nice... I suppose we will all just wait out the new stuff, and hopefully Disney will take some suggestions next time they plan a park-wide overhaul.

I completely agree with you! Aladdin was phenominal... the Genie was brilliant. Anyway, in my opinion its time to close down either one of or both of the shows at Disney-MGM studios (B&tB and Mermaid). I really think MGM deserves to get a Hyperion-style theater and a new production of Aladdin caliber.

Heck- how about we get Aladdin after it ends its run over at DCA..?

As a side note, while Snow White was no Aladdin... it was not that bad... the sets were pretty good, specifically the 7 dwarfs house which was very broadway-like in its detail and movement. The show was decent, it just suffered from being in a crowded open-aired theater. It simply is not as magical with the noise pollution from surrounding attractions and without the dramatic lighting and special effects a theater like the Hyperion has to offer. Either way, it still beats any of the "stage shows" at our MK.

That would be great....

DCA's Aladdin show is amazing --- haven't seen a better theme park show in my life (well, the Bill and Ted shows at HHN are very close  ). WDW really needs something like it, whether it be at the MK or MGM.

I trust what you guys are saying. I guess it was lost on my original post, but I haven't actually seen the Aladdin show @ DCA, just bits and pieces of video.

The main point of my post was the bit about Pressler, Harriss and the Entertainment budget. Sure, you can have huge, grand stage shows, but it doesn't mean crap if the rest of the park falls to shambles in the meantime.

...still better than our MK, we have no "huge, grand stage shows" AND the place is "falling to shambles" lol. Okay maybe thats exaggerating, but I still think our MK could use some spucing up.

I have to be fair though and point out work IS (finally) being done on the 20k lagoon area, and the mainstreet train station is getting a nice makeover... its a start.
