If Disney Has Potter Rights

That thing is so pathetic.
Well, I like what they did. And from most vantage points it works pretty well. It's just close up that the illusion falls apart.

That and for where it was going, I'm glad they didn't go with another full sized castle. 2 Ciderella's Castle sized castles 300 yards apart would have been silly. Epic, but silly.

I like it too.
It's a good bit of small-scale forced perspective, and it does a good job of conveying the distance between the "village" where Maurice's cottage is supposed to be and the castle.

Not sure why people are dumping on it.

If people are comparing it to the half-scale Hogwarts at Wizard World they shouldn't.
The two facades exist for different purposes.

I do agree about having the large castles near each other. It would look a little bit silly. Though Beast's castle never has really "worked" for me. It certainly does look even worse up close. But hey, it's all a matter of opinion.

I am one of those people, like Bairstow up here, who has the same reaction to The Little Mermaid ride... "Not sure why people are dumping on it". I really did enjoy it, even though it is simply a clone from DCA. Some parts were weak, yes, but it's better than most of the other attractions in Fantasyland. I do feel New Fantasyland is a bit vapid, but maybe that will change after SDMT opens.

If Disney had done Potter, it would have cost more, taken longer and not been as good. The theming would have been a far cry from how Uni did it and FJ wouldn't have been nearly as good.

I think the FLE is fine. They spent way too much and it is taking forever to complete, but I like the LM ride and am hoping SDMT will be better than it sounds like it will be.
