Ideas for Disney b-day parties

All 3 of my kids have b-days in June.
We are not going to WDW until Sept., but we are planning to have Disney-themed parties in June.
My oldest child (boy) will turn 10 at the beginning of June.
I am thinking that we will do a main Disney character themed party (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald & Pluto).
Our other 2 children will turn 8 (boy) & 6 (girl) at the end of June.
I am thinking about a Pirate & Princess theme for them.

Does anyone have any interesting ideas that I could use for each type of Disney party? :veryconfu

Thanks in advance! :D

I did this for our son, but he was only 2 at the time, so this may not work for your kids.

I enlarged drawings of Mickey, Minnie, Peter Pan, Pluto, Donald, Bambi, Pinocchio onto poster size and had those attached to some lattice panel work around the room.

I used Mickey colors, (black, red, yellow) and had streamers from around the room up to the center where we placed balloons.

I constructed a facade of the castle that was about 8 feet tall. The turrets were made of some large poster board that I could round for a more 3-D effect. The door was actually an opening that I placed around the door going into the room so the kids walked "through" the castle into the party room. From the windows of the castle, I had Disney characters "waving" to the kids.

I made large Mickey heads for the placemats.

Outside the building, I made small Mickey heads that I placed on the sidewalk for the kids to follow to the room.

Of course, we used Disney plates, napkins, and cups. The cake was Disney themed.

I had Disney music playing as the party went on.

If you are making your own cake there are several methods of drawing the character that you want on the cake or Wilton makes just about any Disney pan that you can think of. I have made several lately and it is quite fun if you like to bake.

O yea I remembered a few other things. I know I had a ton of Disney themed parties growing up but don't remember anything except what the pictures tell me but I do remember my 20th birthday!! Yes it was Mickey themed thanks mom.

Mom has started to put cut outs of whatever the theme is that year on my door while i'm "sleeping" the night before my birthday (normally I'm still awake and pretend not to hear her). This last year there were 20 Mickey heads on my door. Also she used the mickey paper they have at our scrapbook store to make some to hang from the chandelier. I also had a Mickey candle!!!!
