How about a train that connects the Animal Kingdom Lodge To Animal Kingdom, or a train from the ttc to the Wilderness Lodge, and Fort Wilderness? The people mover line could be rerouted, and offer transportation to a new sci-fi themed resort on Bay Lake. While on Seven Seas Lagoon a having a Venetian themed resort as planned at one time between ttc, and the contemporary on the Monorail line. It would take the stress of being on the magic kingdom monorail from the other mk resorts plus would be a beautiful place to visit otherwise. Not to mention for people not staying there they could charge like 10 bux a person to go on a gondola. Also an Italian Restaurant there could take the strain away from Epcot's two restaurants. Now a 1700's colonial america feel could work wonders for a resort, but I feel like if they wanted to they could put it on the left side of seven seas lagoon therefor keeping it on the correct side of the park. What do you guys think? In theory they could push up the ssl, and have all the rooms water facing making it a sort of mini resort, but could use 4 story rooms instead, and also provide an easy walking distance from MK.

To be practical, I really just want a pet-friendly value resort. There's really no reason to not have just one. Products have been developed in the last 20 years or so that make specific kinds of clean up very easy and thorough - to the point a lot more hotel chains went pet friendly.

You can theme it with Dalmations and Aristocats, have a dog park in the center, etc.

That is actually a genius idea.

I would love something along the lines of the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel Mira Costa closer to home at WDW.

Star Wars would also be interesting.

I think the thing that is so great about Tokyo DisneySea Hotel Mira Costa is that it is part of the park and just a resort near the park. Walt Disney World needs on like that no matter what it is based on.

I like the Liberty Square theme idea. Also like the idea of creating a resort with different themed Disney related rooms. Like what was mentioned earlier in the thread. The Haunted Mansion themed rooms would be a hit.

I wonder if they could rip up the facade for hm and build a more grand one using the same base design. They could put like a 250 room hotel. If there's a frontierland expansion it could go overhead and be themed on the exterior to western.

just be sure to include a doggy daycare facility somewhere on the hotel property so there's a place for people to take dogs for care during the times their at the parks, so there aren't a bunch of barking dogs tearing up rooms

Definitely would be great if they built some other localized transit systems other than just the monorail loop.

Automated People Mover systems would work great for these small systems and the vehicles could be themed to the area they are in.

AK area could have safari looking vehicles

and the Wilderness area could have them look like trains or stage coach wagons

Animal Kingdom Lodge really needs some direct access to the park. A train would be good or a minimum of a walking path.

Heres a way they could do an Ak system using automated people movers like at london hethrow

the vehicles could be themed as safari jeeps or animals or something

There's also a spot where a moderate Animal Kingdom resort could be built

What I would like to see is a hotel that goes into the park like the one at DisneySeas. I did not know about this when I went there or I would have stayed there for sure. I think it would be neat to build no as park of the Star Wars Land.

Or like DL Grand California Resort where you have own entrance to the park through resort.

Totally a resort with ride themed rooms (Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror, Pirates, Space Mountain, Toy Story, Muppets) there is so many that can be done. I know there are pirate rooms at Carribean Beach, but need to be more themed towards POTC.

I'm thinking a little more out-of-the-box...why not an underwater resort?

http://www.poseidonresorts.com/

It's one 'theme' that really doesn't exist pretty much anywhere else and would be a huge draw in itself for people to come stay on-property.

Plus, they could utilize some of that cool DCL technology or Seas with Nemo & Friends and have characters swim by your window or interact with you, utilizing all of that new fancy Magic Band technology.

Yeah....it would cost. But it would be COOL...and would not have a huge sightline impact like others might.
That would be awesome.

Yes, with day care while your in the park then you can take care of your own animals while not in the parks. Genius!

While I'm at it, a resort all about ease and comfort with sleep number beds, quick service food delivered to your room, no waiting in line or having to walk far to get it, not room service, the same price you pay at the restaurant or use you dining plan to pay.

I think disney should build a "ship" hotel. For those that want the feel of staying on a boat, but none of the sickness. Call it Port Disney and build it close to disney springs. There is a Hotel near me that is just like a steamboat. seems really cool.

I think it is only a matter of time before Star Wars is represented on the resort front.. They could renovate the Treehouse villas to be Endor or Kashyyyk..
Then they could have a Hoth Building that is super cold, Tatooine that is super hot, and the Death Star that has super dark tint on all the windows. :)
