For $25 a pop. It is our last night and we are going to swim at the pool instead of spending the $200+ for tix. I could stomach $100, but that is just too high a price to pay for the streamlined version of the Christmas party.

We'll be doing the party Thursday. Don't know if we'd have done so if it wasn't integrated into Holiday Hoopla or not.

I just hope it doesn't rain.

Had we not spent the $500 at Harry Potter, it might be easier to stomach...oh wait, that is another thread.

If we got more than declining perks and just 5 hours for more than $10 an hour each -- we might go.

They start letting people in with Christmas party tickets at 4 pm, so if you squeeze every hour out of the access the per person cost is less than $10 per hour but we are splitting hairs. Every vacation involves making a judgment on how much is too much. It is a nice party - I am looking forward to it in a couple of weeks, but you can certainly have a great vacation trip without it.

50.00 is a good price for the party. Any cheaper and Disney would cut back. It's priced very well for what you get. 25.00 would be something to get into a local carnival, not Disney World. Plus, the higher price keeps the parties more exclusive. If they were 25.00 then everyone would go and it would completely defeat the purpose of having a Christmas Party. And then you would just end up wasting your money because it wouldn't feel exclusive or special. Just my .2 cents.

P.S. You wouldn't spend 10.00 per hour for the party but you will spend 90.00 per day when there is no party? How does that math add up? You get 8 hours and that's a full day. LOL

^Exactly. They give you a full 8 hours in the park which is about what a typical guest visits for. The attractions are still open and there is less wait for them!

I don't think the Christmas Party is overpriced at all. It's 8 hours in the park and even on Sunday's (11/28) SOLD OUT party we were still able to do everything. :xmas:

, I just realized that I thought it was 200$/person, which I found downright insane. However, $25 per person really is reasonable, especially for a party of it's caliber.

Check it again--it's $54 a person :animwink: OP was just commenting that he could handle paying $25, if it was that low. Much as I'd like to go to MVMCP or MNNSHP, DH won't go for it :(

Its completely fair the price they charge. Many times I buy a 10 day no expire option and make 2 trips out of it and it a Party falls on one of the days I am there i will skip the parks that day and just buy the Party tickets. That way i don't use a day from my park visit.

$54 is still a great deal for what they offer. It's an exclusive party and you are offered 8 hours of time in the park. I think people just want something for nothing.

Ah, but you're forgetting something...

Is it still worth the same cost they've been charging for the party when the offerings at the party are fewer than in past years, and in addition nothing being new?

I say no.

Yes. Ticket prices for Disney parks have gone up every single year. So have the crowds.

If the Christmas party is the same cost and the crowd size is the same size, then you are coming out ahead or at least equal, even if you don't get a photo or a free cup of hot chocolate.
