I would give almost anything to get rides as amazing as this

Now I have not been on this attraction, but people who I have talked to said it is just ok. Sure it has an amazing AA and the drop but the rest of it is just pretty things to look at on a slow moving ride. I am not saying I would turn down a chance to ride it, but I would rather have Everest.

For a regular guest, it would probably be considered to be on-par with anything here, but for a major Disney/Theme Park Enthusiast like myself, JttCotE was probably one of the best attractions I have ever experienced. The ride, while not a roller coaster in any form (actually an expanded version of Test Track's system) features a great storyline (that is universally understood, even if you can't understand Japanese), amazing theming techniques and effects, a jaw dropping AA and a perfect combination between thrills, chills and mystery. The attraction definitely suits the role it plays as the park's central icon and it will stay as an attraction that will go unparralelled for many years to come.

Um no. As I have said before I never would want to see a roller coaster in the skyline at any Disney Theme Park.

Stay away from DCA then.

Dont get me started on that rant again... WDW should have the best of everything with the best themeing. Its the flagship park nuff said.

I couldn't disagree with that more. Everything SHOULD be equal. And there's nothing that makes WDW more important than other resort inherently. Just because we live in the US doens't mean the US has to be more important for Disney.

And if anything's the flagship it's Disneyland. Also, having another company owning and running the parks allows for more resources to be put into developing those parks.

Then I guess you really can only go to Epcot because every other Disney park has at least one roller coaster on its skyline:

Disneyland: Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Matterhorn, Splash Mountain
DCA: California Screamin', Mullohand Madness
MK: Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain
MGM: Rock n' Rollercoaster (and from certain angles it is on the skyline :animwink:)
AK: Everest, Primeavil Whirl
HKDL: Space Mountain
Tokyo Disneyland: Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain
Tokyo DisneySea: Raging Spirits, Flounder's Flying Fish Coaster
Paris Disneyland: Space Mountain: Mission 2, Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain
Walt Disney Studios: Rock n' Rollercoaster

Wasn't there a picture posted on these forums in the past year or so of Cinderella Castle with a giant roller coaster in the backgroud?

That picture scared me, lol.

That AA blows the Yeti out of the water!! And I love how you get to see it for several seconds, as opposed to the Yeti where you just get a quick glimpse and then it's over.

Hehe, you liked it a lot better than I did.

I thought Indiana Jones or Splash Mountain are better in terms of thrills, chills, and mystery. But hey, different rides appeal to different people :).

The elevators that take you up (err I mean down!) at the beginning were actually my favorite part.

If there is one attraction that needs to be copied, my vote is for Pooh's Hunny Hunt. Now there is a ride that blew me away!

I second the motion for Pooh's Hunny Hunt! I haven't been to the park, but the video I've seen of it just astounds me every time. The trackless ride vehicles that moves around in a "group" but not all in a line is amazing. And the Heffalump and Woozles room.... Wow.

I'm also just amazed at the general theming of DisneySea. Although their Tower of Terror is based on the DCA model, the exterior theming is incredible. So is the entire New York area. And the Cape Cod section looks like they took a chunk of Hyannis and plopped it down in Japan. The new version of 20K Leagues Under the Sea seems interesting, too.

Oh my god, Journey to the Center of the Earth was one of my favorite books (and Wishbone episodes)!
That ride looks amazing. The last comment on the video says they heard they're going to build a DisneySea park at WDW. OH how I wish that were true.

I'll agree with this. I am all for perfecting WDW in favor of building new parks all over the planet. Call me selfish, I don't care. WDW deserves the best.

All I can say is wow ... the ride looks awesome. At least we can take solace in the fact that the brainpower and creativity is still present in the company

I think Disney needs one of these only with some themeing.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uzxe2SFcHz8

has to be THE best ride ever!!

but the problem is that if you have in any park (Magic Kingdom, etc) its going be 3 times higher than the icons of the parks. Eg, Magic Kingdom's Castle is 189 ft, MGM ?, Animal kingdom's Tree of Life is 145 ft, Epcot is 108 ft. Last time i check millennium force is over 300 ft tall. (height of the first hill) That would over shoot all icons of the parks. For me, that would kill the scene/magic of the park. (plus that would be a BIG building/theme area if you hide the monstouratly indoors/in theme area.)

if only!! :cry::cry::cry::cry:

When in that ride do you actually go the the center of the earth? I agree that ride looks awsome and the idea of a dark ride and rollercoaster is a great idea but thats WAy too short. The queve line was as elaborate as the ride too. now if i could only someday ride it...

Wow... that looks amazing. Definitely on par with EE and ToT... though the cue did seem to be as long as the ride.

I definitely want to check out DisneySea someday... until then, I'll watch the other videos that have been posted.
