It was so exciting for about 4.5 seconds. Then my wife and I looked at eachother and said, "no, we'll never use this." We do plan on heading to WDW for 2 weeks in September. But it isn't worth buying 3 extra tickets for my family until HP is up and running.

See you in another year Universal, maybe.

Anybody else a "big winner"?

Yep, I won!! I will defiantly go to Universal too. I wasn't planning on going back until HP opened, but this has changed that! :sohappy:

Btw, I already started a thread about it in the Universal section of the forum.

This has absolutely nothing to do with WDW Parks News and Rumors.

EDIT: I also won, and the tickets are only good March-December 2009, so HP probably won't be open then.

Huh? :shrug::confused:

What is this about free tickets? What contest? When? Where?

You missed it.

When?

Just now.

Jimbo,

what time on Sunday did you enter the giveaway? And how long did it take them to notify you you got a ticket? I am trying to figure if I should add 2 extra days on my December trip or not. It all hinges on me winning the ticket.

I won too, entered towards the end of the super Bowl and got notified today.

I entered right after the game ended and then entered my girlfriend's info 2 seconds later. I won, she didn't. Go figure!

I am hoping to do a late sept/October trip to use my free birthday disney ticket and the Universal tickets in time for Halloween Horror and Mickey's Not So Scary. I usually just do a day at Universal, so even if I just use that one day as a freebie, it's still free.

Well I just checked my email...I won one also. I thought I was too late with putting in my entry. I did at midnight cst February 2. About 4 hours after the commercials aired.

Thats going to save $94 and I will be coming into town 3 days earlier.

I got one too!! I entered right after the comercial aired and found out yesterday. I'm moving down this summer and was saying that when I move I want to go since other than Horror nights last year I haven't been since I was little. I doubt I'll be able to do 7 days in a row but however many days I use will be free.

After thinking about it it is a bit like the Disney birthday thing because since you can only do one ticket per household the rest of the people still have to buy tickets so the trip wouldn't truly be free. It will be for me because I plan to go with a friend who has an annual pass unless my parents make me wait till whenever they would come visit.

Well, at least you were able to keep someone who might actually use it from winning their ticket.

I won as well. I entered just after the showing of the first commercial. We'll use it at the end of May to ride the "Rip, Ride and Rockit"

I entered the following Monday around 11 am Eastern time and still won!! I didn't get to see all of the super bowl so I missed the commercial. I only found out about the promo after watching the commercials Monday morning on the internet!! Guess that was luck then! :sohappy: We were planning on spending a day over there when we come down in October so its nice to be able to save some $$!

I don't understand why anyone would enter a contest for a ticket they have no intention of using. That's just pointless and inconsiderate. :brick:

Because they're Disney Purists and wanted to show that even if they had free tickets to Universal, they still wouldn't go because Universal is such an inferior theme park compared to Disney :p

I entered, got my confirmation, but NEVER got an email stating that I was a winner.

So... I guess that makes me a LOSER. :o :(
