Trip Report I Will Survive.....Spring Break (with a hint of May) *COMPLETED*

At first I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live among the Spring Break crowds
But then I spent so many nights thinking how I could be wrong
And I grew strong
And I knew I could get along....

Well that’s what I’m hoping for anyway. I’m not a newbie when it comes to navigating Spring Break at WDW. I’ve got a couple decades of experience under my belt. “Spring Break” isn’t a single week of cray cray crowds (like the week between Christmas and New Years) but is spread over March and April. Unfortunately one (or more) of those weeks can end up being cray cray....and these days, there is no way to predict which one.

Please don’t let it be this week.

But we are prepared. ADRs at 180 days. FPs at 60 days. Clothing for rain or shine. (Praying for shine ~ we’ve had enough rain over the last 4 months to set an ark afloat.) And attitudes willing to “go with the flow.” 🐢

My goal is to keep the updates live. Should I fail? There’s always Part “Tu”.

Who: Tuvalu, Woody and Em (the teacher whose schedule dictates when we go)
When: Sunday, March 31 - Sunday, April 7, 2019
Where: Port Orleans French Quarter
Why: Let’s hope we don’t ask ourselves this!
How: We’ve done the plane, can’t take the train....so it must be the automobile!

Will we be smiling at the end of the week? Stay tuned.

And if you don’t hang around for the smiles, you may want to peek in and see if there are any WDWMagic meet ups. I know of at least three forum friends I hope to encounter.

Now it’s off to bed! The alarm is set for zero-dark-thirty.

I hope the traffic is so bad that that it makes more sense to turn around, go back to wdw and chill for a few more days!!!

Travel safely during your safe travel. I just got back from the airport, a 3 plus hour round trip on a rainy, foggy Sunday morning. I hate that drive, but Sunday morning is better than Friday evening every time.
Hope the weather has improved by now. The Mrs. traveling for business or pleasure?

Hope you guys make it out. We have been stuck on the bus to AK for 30 mts so far! RunDisney traffic 😟
How frustrating! I remember being stuck on a MK bus for a long time during the Princess half. Have fun the rest of the week!!

Thanks for another great report. It has helped me get through another day of snow on the ground!
I love HS at night too. We went this past December and found that they use the old fashioned tinsel type decorations everywhere! I loved that touch. It reminded me of our silver Christmas tree tinsel and decorations in the 60's:)
There is just something wonderful about HS at night. We also like the MK at night, but as you said, it is much more crowded at nite.
POFQ is now our home resort!
Thanks again for the respite from our long, long winter:)

It was awful. We weren’t even moving at certain points. 😟Yeah but luck is looking up. We are going to the room for a break and the bus drove right up! 👍🏻 Thank you we will try🤣

Yeah, it cleared up pretty good this afternoon. Overcast but the fog lifted. You should be home by now if traffic cooperated. Hope the ride home was uneventful.
She is on a business trip to Baltimore. Never been there. We have a niece who lives south of there whose husband works in D.C., and they picked her up at the Baltimore airport and they are gonna do some visiting and touristy stuff this afternoon before her week-long schedule of meetings begins tomorrow. Baltimore has a reputation of not having the safest of neighborhoods, but she is staying in the Inner Harbor area, and it is supposed to be relatively safe.
Oh, and good news for me, she is catching a shuttle Friday evening with a co-worker, from the airport to the Athens office, and I can pick her up in Athens, less than an hour south of us and nowhere near Atlanta traffic! Yeah!

I’ve not been on the forums for a while and just checked in to see I’ve missed this!
I’m 27 pages behind and now have to go to work - I don’t think there will b3 much work happening today as I need to catch up!
Wish me luck......

Thank you for taking us on your wonderful Spring Break adventures! My last trip, I also enjoyed half a day at EPCOT without any rides! The festival booths and people-watching is the perfect attraction some days!
