I Spent Over A Year of My Life at Disney?

OK guys. I am insane. Someone made a comment that I've "probably been at Disney like a year of my life" when I was complaining that I miss Disney after just getting back a couple weeks ago. So I said, "that's ridiculous...it hasn't been that long" but it got me thinking.

Looking back at all my trips, I've totaled up around 60 trips to Disney (including a few trips to Tokyo, DL, Paris) during my lifetime (around 30 years).

I went back to some old family albums and verified we went 2-3 times/year most of my childhood and I've gone up to 5 times in a year as an adult in recent years. I came up with around 400 days. Help!

I think I am actually insane, but I know some of you are even crazier than me (or I hope). How many days do you estimate you've gone?

Take me with you next time! I've only been to WDW but I would love to see DL and TDL/Disney Sea. My parents retired to Kissimmee about 3 years ago and live about half an hour from the parks, so I can visit without paying for a hotel or eating so much at Disney. Helps with the cost! Should make reaching 400 days throughout my lifetime a little easier on the wallet :hilarious:

Hmmm .. maybe about 12-15 trips, avging around 6-7 days each. That's only about 3-4 months for us .. which I think puts us squarely in the "we don't give a cr@p about you" category at Disney Mgmt.

I'm envious. I'm estimating somewhere between 90-120 days from the first visit in 1978 through a one day visit this last April (no visits between 1978 and 1996). We've only been to WDW with two short trips to DLR. Would really like to see Tokyo, Paris and Shanghai, but not sure that's in our future.

Yes
I can't really be sure because I can't remember how long the trips I went on when I was younger were. For what I CAN remember, I've been about 1.5 months.

154, which seems like nothing compared to you, haha. That's in 10 years. 196 days in various parts of America in total though, which at 23 i'm pretty proud of how well travelled I am at this point. :D

I'm only at 13 days lol. I have just started dating WDW, while you are in a committed relationship with it. I expect WDW to be asking you for a ring soon ;)

I'm feeling depressed.... I've gotten in thirteen trips and Ive spent 150 days. A few short trips in there that robbed me of Disney time. I cant wait until I retire and can have the opportunity to pile on numerous days.

I think you got me beat. I've went on 15 WDW trips, averaging probably 12 each. Plus about 15 days total in DL, and another 5 in DL Hong Kong

Havent made it to DL in Japan or Paris yet though :(

I'm in a committed relationship for sure. I'm even exclusive because other parks don't even exist to me!

That's still quite a bit when you think about it....4 MONTHS at Disney? It never feels like that much.

It's like I was addict and someone finally made me realize how much I was drinking. I knew I went a lot, but the 400 days thing kind of put it in perspective.

Tokyo is on the verge of better than WDW if you just compare the Magic Kingdom pieces. It's so clean and the people are so well behaved. I highly recommend it, but WDW is still #1 for me.

You're still on pace. My first trip was 6 months old, so I've been going over 30 years now. You just need to keep it up and add some out of country Disney experiences too. Amazing how consistent it is in other parts of the world.

Your day per trip is still pretty awesome. You go 10+ days each time? I've gone 10+ days a couple times, but since I had to start working, most of them are 8-9.

Only a year? Slacker.;)
Wait a moment and I'll total up the rough estimate of $$ spent there over my life.

Sidenote: In 2014, I think I made 5 trips and visited DisneySea, Tokyo Disney, Disneyland, and Disney World twice.

In 2014, I spent something like $22,000 at Disney Parks.

I do not even want to know how much I have spent as I am approaching 600 days spent at WDW alone.

This is interesting. With the technology of MagicBands...I wonder if there's a way for us to see how many times we've scanned in to a park? I'm sure WDW can see in some way...but I wonder if that info could make it our way.
