I really miss the Osborne lights, anyone else?

I loved this but I had to stop watching it because I couldn't take it anymore. Seeing what was removed for some lame reasons was killing me. It just reinforces the fact that management just has no feel for what their true fans love about Disney. All I want for Christmas is a CEO with love for the parks and understands its history. I bet some management has no idea these things ever existed at the parks.

I loved them! When I broke my neck we were AP holders. Part of my physical therapy was to go to Disney and just walk around a few hours each day, 3 days a week. I had just gotten the Halo brace off and I was like a bobble head. My neck muscles had atrophied so bad that I could barely hold my head up. The logic was that between all the looking around, and trying to dodge strollers and others who weren't paying attention, that it would strengthen my neck and shoulder muscles. It work along with regular PT. We went to DHS to see the OFL almost as much as the other 3 parks combined. I have probably shot 2k photos of them over the years :)

Certainly do miss them. I doubt there ever will be another showing of lights and music of that magnitude ever again on property. We saw them several years and was fortunate to be there on the last year they were up. They were always a highlight to a December visit. What fun and joy they added to the Christmas season. Walking through the streets and viewing all the assorted decorations placed on the streets, in the windows and along the sidewalks was also fun. As crowded as the streets got I never saw a frown or encountered a grouchy person. What a loss for us all. ToT and billboards and light show on Sunset Boulivard doesnt even come close to the joy were missing out on.

I forgot whatever lie they told us for taking them away, but I ultimately think it was just too much work to put them up every year.

They were great.
SOA is gone so there isn’t anywhere to put them at DHS. Grand Avenue only has “buildings” on one side. They could probably set them up at Disney Springs if they decided to use the lights. I did miss them on my last trip.

I kind of thought they were gone before that, but trips, run together for me. Thr6 also could have easily put them in other places with some creativity.

One would think that maybe just maybe Disney could come up with a way to use the lights if they wanted. This would have been the perfect year for them, since there is nothing else happening at Hollywood Studios. It's just plain sad.
