One thing that's kinda interesting...when we were there in early October, they were beginning to put up the Osborne Lights. You could even sort of make out what some of the forms were.

The Osbourne lights start their planning phase in August and by the end of September the crew is already at work. Usually the progress becomes visible around the middle of October. The official opening is usually Thanksgiving Week.

They had already started this when we were there in Sept. I guess with that many lights, they have got to start early. :)

Osborne Lights start going up in August. We go every year for Halloween (for the past 11 years) and around the 2nd of November we go to bed with everything not decorated and then the next day when you go to the parks or go to the lobby of the resort Disney Magic has taken hold and you start seeing more and more decorations every day. The tree is EPCOT was up on November 4th this year. I think Osborne Lights are lite mid November.

We went Nov 16-24th 07. Everything was up, Osbourn lights opened Nov 12th, MVMCP started Nov 12th. We went on NOv 16th. The only thing that wasn't up was the Christmas tree at the Grand Floridian. We went there for dinner on Nov 17th and it was not up. They had the Gingerbread house up and all but no tree. The last night we were there Nov 23rd was the day after thanksgiving and we saw the 1st of the Candlelight Processional at Epcot! That was the highlight of our trip! Totally awesome! So was the hot chocolate at the Liberty Inn across the street on a cold night!

It was all beautiful but the parks are VERY VERY crowded! Be careful and dont plan on doing tons of stuff and you will be ok.
