I have at least two WDW tickets with days on them. But how do I know which ticket does or doesn't have the days? Some of these tickets are ten years old. BUt I was told that they never expire.. Please help... It would save us some cash on our next tript..

As far as I know there is not. But a CM may have that info on here. As far as I know you must take the ticket to Guest Services and they can tell you that information.

my problem with that is that I live in Wisconsin, and the office is just a touch too far to visit..

Yes I would really need a number to call. :)

It would make a great difference in my costs for a trip this year..

The problem as with so many things is that some people have taken advantage of the situation, and the resale of tickets on the secondary market had been significant. I have seen people walk up to GS with dozens of tickets in hand...that obviously haven't been in their sock drawer.

They have also stopped reading tickets at hotel GS as they used to. Tickets are read by scanner, so my guess is that there is an accompanying hard number, but they have no way of verifying your intentions over the phone so giving confirmation is not the policy.

It may be worth it to try to contact them directly to see what they would say
Before that you may want to PM JPVonDrake who is very knowledgable and has been very helpful in this kind of situation.

Good Luck.

Unfortunately, there is no way of reading the number of days left on a magnetic strip ticket without you physically being at WDW and in front of either Lobby Concierge (at resorts) or Guest Relations (at Disney Theme Parks). It is Disney's policy to never, ever read tickets over the phone, and that is one policy that will not allow any special accomodations.

A few years I attempted to call to find out how many days and plus options we had left on some of our hopper passes and they could not help me over the phone. I went ahead and bought new hopper passes for our entire stay and when we returned, I put the passes in an envelope with a note with the number of days and plus options remaining. Unfortunately the only way you can get this information is in person as GS.

Yes I recently tried to do this a few weeks ago by calling them but as everyone has said you have to be there in person to find out. (Yippie another person from wi where in wi are you..see my location above)

It is certainly POSSIBLE to read them over the phone by reading them numbers off the back, BUT it may be against policy.

It is certainly worth it to TRY to call them and see if they'll do it. The ticket knows where you bought the ticket originally and when you used it (ie you went to Animal Kingdom at noon on Jan. 1 and park-hopped to MGM at 5pm on that day). Perhaps if you would offer to explain some of that information to them, they could break that policy for you. Give your sob-story about not wanting to waste your days by buying extras.

If they say no, ask if they will adjust your new tickets once you get to the park and check your old tickets.

Yes, it is against policy...

No, its not worth a try (long-distance calls can get expensive, expecially if you have to be put on hold to get in touch with the right person to apologize to you that they can't)

No, they won't adjust tickets, buy the absolute lowest number of ticket days and add the rest on later (within fourteen days of first usage). Be apprx. the same price.
