I have a McHangover

alright...

last night, at about 1:30am, I was craving some food. I knew fast food was my only option, so I went out cruising for a snack. I figured it would've been Taco Bell or Wendys... little did I know that my local taco bell closes at 1am, and my closest Wendys is 2 miles away in an industrial crack ghetto. So that left me with little choice. McDonalds.

So I order a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Fries, and a Coke... NOT supersized.

Well, after that I surfed online and went to bed. I had no alcohol.

So why do I now feel like I was kicked in the head by an epileptic mule?

I have a McHangover.

I must ask an MD which he feels is worse for me, a glass of vodka or a big-mac?

I have, and I only eat McDonalds when it's down to that or a 7-Eleven Hot Dog

Oy!! You feel like crap because you were eating crap. Trust me!! I totally know how you feel. When Jay and I drive to Las Vegas from San Francisco, it's an eight or nine hour drive, and every two hours we'd stop at a Mickey D's. And by the time we get to Vegas, I feel so :hurl: that I don't even want to hit the buffets.

And the fact you're eating so late at night isn't conducive to your body digesting that crap. Watch "Supersize Me" and you'll see why you feel so awful!!

I seem to recall the last time you regailed us with a story of eating McDs you were ill. You had been a good lad and for one day abstained from meat for religious reasons. All that was available to you at the start of the next day, again in the wee small hours, was McCrap!

It's either the "food", the time or a bit of both.

I think a lifestyle change is in order.

Ask for a George Foreman grill (or one of its clones) for the next gift-giving occasion.

Keep boneless chicken , hamburger patties, salmon steaks--whaterver you like--in your freezer.

It won't take that long to cook on the grill, and you won't have to get dressed!

You might try to keep eggs and cheese on hand. That doesn't bite back as much in the morning.

Icky food!! I can sure understand why you don't feel well...

normally I can NOT eat McDonald's... haven't been near the place in years... well, until May. I went to a wedding in NYC & drank a bit too much... then next day I was not feeling well at all. (not used to drinking...) I tried toast... nope... pretzels... nope... mylanta... nope... nothing worked. I swore off alcohol forever more!! Then my nephew had me eat exactly what you had last night that made you sick... and I felt better in no time!?!? I wouldn't recommend that btw! :hammer:

feel better soon!!!

Last semester it seemed like I was going to McDonald's for a late night "snack" everynight. Not only was I becoming more and more broke and fat, but feeling crappy all the time. Needless to say I hardly ever eat there anymore. If I could just stay away from their delicious fries.... :hammer:

Ok, so McDonald's is the only bad fast-food in the US? Burger King, Wendy's, all that is ok?

Cause I don't get it, really. We don't have Wendy's, and I hear Burger King is coming soon. We have Domino's (and several other local pizza places) and McD's (and several other burger places, Bob's being its biggest competitor). To me, a burger is a burger. I tend to favor McD's over Bob's because I feel the overall taste of the sandwich is yummier. But fat for fat and bad for bad, it'll take you to the grave. Of course, that only goes for those who WORRY about such things. I usually don't eat with guilt, so I'm all fine and dandy. ;)

Rob, I know how you feel. The same thing happens to me when I eat at MickeyD's; never at Wendys and sometimes at BK. You overloaded your system with tons of fat & carbs.... :hurl:

I think YellowShoes suggestion was great, my neice makes french toast in her George Forman grill.
(but then again I keep a house full of food & I just spent $50 at Uno's for lunch. )

Maybe they are different in the UK?
I can't honestly say I've eaten them in America, but I'm told they are just as bland.

I like a good fat wobbly chip. They are also less bad for you ;)

If you ever come to California, I recommend fries from In-&-out and order them animal style :slurp: :slurp: . Trust me, they're famous.

The only thing I like from McDonalds are their breakfast meals...yummy Mcgriddle :slurp: .
