You have peaked my curiosity. What is "animal style"?stranger said:If you ever come to California, I recommend fries from In-&-out and order them animal style :slurp: :slurp: . Trust me, they're famous.
The only thing I like from McDonalds are their breakfast meals...yummy Mcgriddle :slurp: .
They are good chunks of potato rather than the McShavings off the floor:JesusJuice said:What may I ask is a "fat wobbly chip"? Sounds perverted to me...lol j/k!

In the UK, the late night post drinking take aways are headed by burger vans and donner kebab houses. There is many a drunk who has woken up covered in bits of pitta bread, lamb meat and bits of salad and chillie sauce. I think once a system has adapted to that sort of abuse, McDs is childs-play.disney_nutter said:im not a fan of mcdonalds either but when im drunk i usally stagger in cause its right next to the club i go to and when i wake up in the morning i feel like cr*p do you think its becuase i drink to much or the food
The green stuff is a substance know as "mushy peas". If you would like to taste them for yourself, get your 16 year old to pick up a tin of them from a supermarket when they are over. For some reason they really work with fish and chips. He will have no problem finding a chippie, I doubt there is a place that does not at least have a take-away. Fish and Chips taste especially good by the coast when eaten out of paper. :slurp:Yellow Shoes said:Barnum42:
What is that green colo(u)red stuff in the Coleman's photo?
It looks like guacamole to me, and I'm just certain that it isn't.
On a side note, my 16 year old will be going to England next summer with a tour group. (They'll be doing the John Wesley tour--London, Cambridge, Epworth, Lincoln, Stonehenge--not because of any Wesleyan connections, but mostly because they'll be close to it)
The tour group last year passed on a chance to go to a pub (something we don't really have here) and went to Pizza Hut instead. He was appalled, and is on a mission to get real English fish and chips when he is there.
Should be interesting. It's a group of 30 Type A super-driven, leader types used to having other people be the followers.
I'll show him the photo--he'll be drooling.

barnum42 said:Thanks Cherry. Whilst low carb is getting a lot of publicity over here there are not a lot of eateries cashing in on it. Only stupidly priced Atkins bars.
cherrynegra said:Yes, I remember reading somewhere that so far the only European nation to fall for the Atkins diet is England. It said it's just starting to make a dent. However, the rest of Europe is quite horrified at the idea of giving up bread, (French), pasta (Italians), or potatoes (Germans.) Though that feeling of horror probably applies to all of the continental European countries.

You can get a bunless burger just about anywhere now. Don't want potatoes ...ask for a substitution. (I hate being low carb!...carbs are in my blood)
I believe it may be because the British are either leading or are towards the top of the European obese league. Low carbs worked for me – I am no longer clinically obese by the BMI calculation. Fortunately I don’t subscribe to the lager lout lifestyle so low carbing was not a problem from that point.cherrynegra said:Yes, I remember reading somewhere that so far the only European nation to fall for the Atkins diet is England. cherrynegra said:Oooooo...I love In and Out burgers!! They are the best hands down!! You people who don't have it don't know what you're missing. "Animal style" is also known as "protien style" or "protien burger." It means that the burger you order will come without a bun, but is wrapped in lettuce. It's the best when you're cutting back on carbs and you only want the protien. Carl's Jr has a version of it but it pales in comparison.

stranger said:Actually, Animal style is a burger that comes with extra In-N-Out dressing, more cheese and grilled onions. These ingredients are added to the plain fries to make it animal style. :slurp:
It's just fun saying, "give it to me animal style." :lookaroun
