Good Morning Everyone..Sometimes reading certain threads make me sigh, big time.. Those lucky people who either decide out of the blue that we're off to WDW ( yes you Boomer ) and other folk who have just returned from WDW and are off again to DL ( yes you Coachwnh ) LOL...For me it's a two year plan, tho next trip will be a three year gap.I spoke to a friend yesterday whilst out shopping, and was asked if we were heading back to Disney. So I told him no,it looks like 2015 will be our next ( and possible ) last trip..( sorry Shookie ) But he was amazed that we had started to plan the trip already, our resort, our flights, what's on our must do list, and must eat list..So is there anyone out there that has a dream of returning, but will be at least two years or more in the making.?o.O

Me!:) It looks like next year is already out of the question! :( My dh works for the DOD and is currently on furlough 11 Fridays in a row off no pay!:( And even if we had the money next year's vacation for my ds is going to be almost nonexistent as they are not returning to school until mid-September due to a construction project. So it looks like we will probably be off to our nations capital for a few days. Like I've mentioned before most of the museums there are FREE to visit, or quite reasonably priced. It's a trip we all enjoy, my youngest has not been there yet and it can be done on the CHEAP. Too bad they don't have slushie cartso_O

We will be getting our APs in California in 9 days and using them for both WDW and DL next summer. After that, I think we are going to change it up a bit and possibly head to your continent in two years @real mad hatter! So, thats two years away. We love Disney, but there are so many other places I think we would like to explore. Our kids will be 12 and 10 that summer, so It might be that perfect age to begin to expand on our vacations! I guess we could always spend a few days in Disneyland Paris, right?

You should consider moving to Florida Real Mad Hatter. It becomes a lot easier to go. We go a couple of times a year. We don't go for a week or ten days at a time, but we'll go for a long weekend a few times a year. Usually I wait for some Florida resident promotion and book so you never have to book 1 year out. We've been known to decide on a Monday to leave on Friday once the kids get out of school. When you live in Florida Disney is never too far away. It's basically a long get-a-way weekend.

In our house at vacation planning time my DS and I say we want to return to WDW every year. My DW usually says “I want to go someplace different.” My DS and I reply “How about the kitchen,” but I digress. So we alternate between WDW and the preverbal someplace else and so we usually plan our WDW trip a good year in advance. Of course my DW has been known to throw a WDW surprise or two, once in May she said “Let’s go to WDW in August.” I had that trip booked in about 10 minutes before she could change her mind. Another time she planned a getaway long weekend surprise to WDW just me and her while our son was at his grandmothers, a trip that can never be spoken about as our DS would be upset that we didn’t bring him and he will be determining the nursing home we eventually reside in.

Things seem to be turnin' just the opposite for us. Our first trip with the kiddos was in '01. We went back in '04 and '07. 3 year gaps. DW and myself went back in Dec. of '08 for our 20th wedding anni., but we didn't get back with the kiddos 'til July of '12. 4-ish year gap for us, 5 years for them. We all just went in June, and our 25th anni. is comin' up this Dec., so we're thinkin' either DCL or WDW, or possibly both (need to get on that, soon ;)). And, everyone (including a bunch of extended family) wants to go next summer, again.
Apparently, we've got the Disney fever real bad these days...and it's conatgious...!!! :D ;) :)
