Gmail is in beta and this is the reason why it is invite only. They have to control the sign ups to make sure that space and users are equal.

Yahoo and I are in love again since they started giving 100mb for free.... tons of more spam too, but who cares? I have 100 mb now! LOL

Gmail gives you 1,000 MB of free space.
A lot of people have invites in the gmail.com thread (http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=39988), if anyone wants any they could try there as a lot of gmail users have posted. I have 6 if anyone is interested (PM me).
