I HATE Florida weather

I cannot understand how people live here anymore. I have been living in FL my entire life and the heat/humidity is just killing me this year for some reason. I look at the forecast and I almost want to cry. Everywhere else in the country is nice except in Florida. I've heard ways to "beat the heat" but they all have to do with being INSIDE. If you're outside, forget it, you CANNOT escape the godawful heat and humidity. It's almost November and the weather is still summer. For those who don't believe me, look at these:

Miami posted 82 degrees with 79% humidity. That makes it feel like it's 113 degrees outside. IN OCTOBER. Give me a break. I live in Tampa, and it's just as bad. Stay safe everyone, I don't know how much longer we as humans can handle this.

I feel for you OP...I often remark that we have the same type of climate as Florida (I live in Louisiana) and it was a brutal summer. But unfortunately, this is where we diverge bc it started getting cooler last week.

It’s crazy bc we can now go outside without running to our cars to escape the scorching sun or be drenched in sweat. So I feel for you and hope a break in the heat comes soon. And FYI I am a genuine believer that venting and complaining are healthy ways of coping, so keep ‘whining’ and let’s us know what it’s like!

I'm in SC and this summer was one of the worst as far as heat and humidity but at least it is for only 3-4 months out of the year and then it cools off. My sister is in Boyton Beach Fl and she voices the same as you whenever I talk to her. She has 2 years to retirement and can't wait to get out of S Florida

I guess you're right.... Maybe I should stop whining. I could be shoveling snow up north. Here are some funny Florida memes:

Go Gators! LOL.
You have no idea what it is like to step out and have to go to work in -35 degree weather, pray that your car will start, drive for about 5 miles on square tires, taking almost the entire trip to get to the point inside the car that you can't see your breath anymore or spend a minimum of $2000.00 a year just for heating oil and have your electricity bill be the same per month as we have down here for constant AC. Plus you could walk on a sidewalk with out fear of slipping and falling, or drive not knowing if you are on black ice or not. So, if I had to I would gladly put up with Florida weather. NC is not that far away from the Florida type stuff. I wouldn't live in Florida for a whole lot of reasons, but hot weather isn't one of them.😓

Central Florida just had a GREAT week weather wise! Anyone who vacationed at WDW this past week got treated to crisp, clean air with relatively low humidity, even some cold nights! Alas, today Friday, November 22, it’s looks like the cold front is gone, but still not too bad.

I went to Busch Gardens on the night of the 16th and the weather was so nice, I absolutely loved it!

I rather have the heat then the bone chilling cold, snow, ice and wind. When you step outside, the cold wind takes your breath away and it hurts to breath. You feel so cold that your body and brain start to shut down, even if you are out for a short time. It is amazing how many Florida people complain about the heat. Yes, it is hot and humid in the summer, but it is just as hot and humid in the summer where I live(which for some reason nobody down there seems to realize). But then we flip and get the brutal cold instead of the nice winters that the south gets.

A number of FL residents I know purposely schedule their vacations to visit colder climates including ski resorts because they want a change from the oppressive heat and humidity almost year round.
