I know the title is a bit cliche, but I really did. I was actually talking to Walt Disney himself. I am not sure how that could ever be possible, cause I never met the man. He was talking about the recent slew of movies and told me he was unimpressed with the art but loved the technology. He told me that the area in Orland is not at all what he wanted. He thought Epcot was interesting but it wasn't at all what it was all about, not even when it opened. The entire point of the area was missed with the build out as it is today. He truly did not want another park. He started to explain how it could still be built out with the existing parks of today and then I woke up.
I know this is just a manifestation of my own subconscious, but it was very intriguing to be able to speak to the man, albeit in my dreams. I suspect that some of what came out here is based on my frustration of the lack of investment in the parks by the Disney Company today.
For what it's worth, I absolutely love Epcot and even more so Epcot Center. I am not so sure I would be as eager to live in the original concept of Walt's Epcot.
