Congrats! I am currently on my 2nd CP, and am loving every minute of it. Also, try the employment page. There will be more posts about the CP there.

One quick question...

I was planning on doing the CP in college(im a a high school senior now) but I am concerned about one thing....

Does it delay your graduation schedule ? Or interfere w/ ur college work ?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm in college now doing the basic intro courses and such as an engineering major, but then it becomes a very disciplined and intense engineerning program until graduation. I heard the college program in situations like that does delay the process since some schools are so specialized in which case i'd trade an internship summer after junior yr for the CP.

Any input?

yes, and yes. You can try to take classes while at WDW or see if you can get credit for the internship to keep on 'schedule' with your graduation...but you're probably going to work a LOT of hours so doing schoolwork is next to impossible.

It all depends on what your school requires. you'll have to check with your advisors to see. YOu can take classes down there and some schools require it and require you to get a writen statement from your home room manager. I didn't take classes and I didn't need to do anything like this so I prety much worked all the time. I'm graduating at the end of this semester and I 've taken all the classes i can stand so i didn't do it. It varries from person to person. about 45 percent of the people who start the program never finish. Stick with it, because if you do you can hav ea nice name on your resume.

I will be applying for the Fall 2007 Program so I will miss you by a semester. I hope to hear some good things about the program. And my plan was to not take any classes since my school wouldn't even offer me any credit while I was down there.

So best of luck to you!

At most schools, the Engineering curriculum is very specific about which classes need to be taken each semester, which leads to very little room for variation. Consequently, it is very difficult to take one semester off and still graduate on time, unless your school accepts the credits that you can take at WDW. Unfortunetly, my Dean at ND would not accept any of the WDW classes for my Engineering degree, thus I would have to graduate late if I decided to go. I really wish the CP offered a summer program for thoose who aren't CP alums. Does anyone know if this is possible?

the summer cp program is now for new CPs and alums
I did it this summer not being an alum and it was pretty fun
the only thing is they make you do food and beverage or custodial

congrats

i loved my CP

as for being behind (someone else asked) remember you can always do the College Program the semester/quarter after you graduate.

Sadly my campus will not be having a session this quarter...but I guess that makes my job as a recruiter oh so much easier...just gotta push the e presentation now.
