I know what SAT is, but what is Eagle Scout??
:veryconfu

It is the highest rank that a Boy Scout can achieve. As I recall, he must exhibit the highest level of moral values, community service, scouting skills, personal growth and achievement, etc. It takes a lot of hard work to obtain it!! Congratulations, Kyle!

Thanks y'all! I got a 1410 on my SATs...The Board of Review was not too bad...it was only twenty minutes long and we just chatted about my involvement in scouting and future plans. What are you doing for your Eagle Project? I worked at a women's shelter in Rochester, where the I led a project cleaning up the basement (more of a cave...) there, put down wooden flooring (that I got donated), built 13 steel shelves (that were also donated), put wooden planks (donated, of course)on the bottom of them as the basement has a tendancy to flood. Finally, I plan and coordinated a food drive through a local church and we stocked those shelves with 500 food items. All-in-all, the project took up 150 man hours. As for those of you who don't know all the requirements for Eagle, they are:
1) Obtain twenty-one merit badges
2) Serve is a position of leadership for six months as a Life Scout
3) Show scout spirit (that's the high moral code)
4) As a Life Scout, plan and coordinate a large-scale service project for your community.

Then there were four Boards of Review...those were FUN!

As for my 1410...I hope it's enough to get me into Cornell...I also got 32 on the ACTs and have a...4.19 GPA (honors and AP put me over 4.0). Of course...Cornell doesn't know I'm an Eagle...just that I did my Eagle Project. Oh...also for Eagle, I put together a massive 70-page portfolio on ME!! (and my project)...very long but it was all about ME so easy to write!

Well, I've yet to get approval from the board, but I'm planning on designing and landscaping the 150 foot stretch of the front of my church. Much of the plants and such will be donated, but what isn't will be raised by a fundraiser: I'm going to sell engraved bricks (Like the ones on the walkway into WDW) and line the landscaping with them. Al in all, it should be pretty hard, but alot of fun.

-Jake :p

PS-
You're what, 17? I'm 14... but I've been a life scout for over a year, and I'm getting tired of it! lol
