so today is 60 days out from our check in, and i was all excited to start booking my fastpass+ selections.

of course, i'd have to purchase my park tickets first. ugh. completely forgot that part. :banghead:

i guess i can wait a couple more days and just keep my fingers crossed that some of our choices are still available...

You should be fine for most everything except 7DMT, Anna & Elsa, and preferred viewing for Wishes and Illuminations. We were unable to book our FP until 55 days out (for a lower attendance time in Sept. ) and those attractions were already standby only for our entire vacation.

Yikes :( That is the catch 22 with FP+ is that at 60 or 30 day mark the guest needs to have their purchased tickets already. As the other poster mentioned - you should be fine on everything except Mine Train and Anna Elsa; however, if you want those as well - do not give up just keep checking closer you get to arrival.

Quite often the parade and fireworks viewing options don't open up until closer to the trip, sometime in the 21-30 day range.

You will be fine. We booked ours 15 days out in May and got everything we wanted.
You might have a hard time getting A&E and 7DMT but if you head for them early in the morning, you should have no issues. I also know some forums have A&E fp+ watch in case one opens up.

I was quite shocked at midnight today while making my FP. Festival of Fantasy was already available- and I took it, as it's our third day in MK and we can spare the FP
but i was also under the impression that parades and fireworks didn't open up this early. maybe this one is different?
don't care. wanted it. got it. win!

now I just need that BOG lunch FP+. keep coming FP pixie dust!

and @PigletIsMyCat , i wouldn't feel dumb. you knew both facts, just didn't put em together. I however, would not wait a couple days, even if it cost me a little more. i would be at the disney store today getting them. just sayin....

That because the parade time doesn't change as often as the fireworks do

Make sure to check back frequently, because I was able to move around our 7DMT and A&E FP+ slots well after the 60 day mark. As a matter of fact, I was able to move them closer to opening instead of the afternoon.

/edi: We'll be there in September too so maybe we'll see you there!

i'm ordering from undercover tourist, and i'm waiting for a late paycheck... two weeks late. darn it. as soon as i get it, i'm getting my tickets and getting my FP+ booked!

i think we'll be okay, i'll be in an ECV so should get set viewing for parades. i really wanted it for test track to be sure we could ride it without waiting forever. and i guess 7dmt. maybe everest.

A feature of FP+ I despise is the inability to obtain a FP for a popular ride. I don't like it all that FP's have to be planned 60 days in advance if you want to ride a particular popular one. More and more I feel like the fairness of legacy just so outstrips the convenience of FP+. But it's here to stay and I guess I will deal with it.

The mistake is waiting for that perfect time to become available. Just choose your priority ride for the day, take whatever slot they give, then check often to change the time individually.

I booked under 30 days and managed a 7D FP for July 3rd. It was an 11PM that I was able to change to a more reasonable 12PM the next day. There's hope.
