I converted my wife into a Disney addict!

Well I just got back from my first trip to Disneyland with my 2yo DD and DW. I’ve been to Disneyworld many times and I love it. My wife has been to Disneyworld with me and was not impressed. She complained the whole time. She hated the long lines for food, transportation and rides. She was also not a fan of the weather (too humid). In her defense, when we went she just found out she was pregnant for the first time. She had morning sickness and got tired easy. We were there in Oct 2005. Needless to say, after her reaction, I felt like Disney was off the list of potential vacations for a while, possibly forever!
Recently, I was able to talk her into a trip again to bring our daughter for the first time. Our DD loves all things Disney. She reluctantly agreed. The trip was perfect. Our DD loved every minute and was sporting little princess dresses the whole time. During our trip I could see my DW becoming more and more excited with each day. She was really excited that we did not need to take a bus anywhere (easy to go back to the room for naps). She felt the lines were much shorter for the restaurants and rides (I don't think so...). She also just fell in love with our daughter’s reaction to everything from the rides and characters to the parade. In California the weather was much more to her liking w/o the humidity. All in all she has not stopped talking about the trip a couple weeks ago. She has bought us annual passes and we are flying there again in February!
So my wife went from a Disney-hater to an “I can’t wait until we go back” person. I think the way she is acting Disneyworld may be a possibility again in the future.

Has anyone else had this experience with someone making a 180 like this out of nowhere? All I know is- I’m not complaining!

I am a native Ca girl and I was not about to go to WDW in humid cruddy weather. So my friend and I went in February and it was GREAT! It was a little drizzly the first half but the second half was PERFECT CA 70! We stayed at BC and it is so centrally located (well all the Epcot resorts are) that it was not a long ride to anything (except Animal Kingdom) and the lines for rides were practically nonexistant! I literally walked right onto Space Mountain!

Now to your actual question :ROFLOL:I don't associate with Non-Disney people :ROFLOL:

It's always great to hear testimonials like this! I have converted at least a dozen non-believers into Disney maniacs. We must keep spreading the word.

Yes, totally, my DH was not a big Disney fan-to him it represented more work than magic or fun. But since we moved within less than a days drive to the parks, we've taken more relaxed long-weekend style trips there, explored the amazing resorts, and really been able to explore the whole property. My DH loves it! We are planning a week-long trip in April, then we want to renew our vows and as per his suggestion, do a Land/Sea vacay, just us and stay at Wilderness Lodge! I never thought he'd be as excited as me, but he is!
