LMAO...I've tried that speed check but everytime I use the speed check from the Optimum Online homepage, it gives me a reading of 9,999 kbps...can that be possible?

I doubt it. I've tried on family and friends p/c's and the kbs was different. When i download stuff i usually keep that up and running and the kbs does change. Right now its 4383. What do you use to check your speed? I'd like to try that to see what i get.

Check out DSLReports.com for comparing your ISP with others. It's a great site to check the forums and see if others on your provider are having similiar problems and things. If you go to the Tools section, there's some speedtests there as well.

I've used DSL and am constantly above 3000kbs. They have som pretty interesting info there.
