I Booked My Trip!

I am so excited. I just booked our trip to DLR in August. :sohappy: We're going the 9th through the 16th. I'm hoping it won't be too hot or too crowded. We're staying at the DLH. We stayed there when we went 5 years ago and my family loved it. This time, we're not telling our daughter (9) that we're going. She'll find out when we get there - as long as I can keep my mouth shut! :zipit: We planned a whole week so we can take our time and see things at a comfortable pace and spend some time at the pool.

I've seen some great postings about the Napa Rose restaurant, but is it suitable for kids? From what I've heard, it's like Victoria and Alberts in WDW - which is not suitable for children :lookaroun but that's just my impression.

Thanks!

You'll have a great time!! Napa Rose is very nice. It's not Victoria and Alberts though. I don't think anyone would mind well behaved (:D)kids there.

Congrats... Now all the planning can begin. If you are like me, once I book the trip, I start pouring over all of our old guides and the new ones. Planning is half the fun! Your countdown can begin! Tick Tock, Tick Tock!

Thanks everyone! I've already bought the updated books as well as the hidden Mickey guide for DLR. I can't wait to go. I'm just bummed IASW will be closed. It was closed the last time we went too.

Does anyone have any insight as far as crowd levels and/or temperature around this time?

It will be pretty warm!! Anaheim seems to get much warmer then the coastal side of LA. But if you've been to Orlando in August, it will feel better then that. Here, it's a dry heat as they love to say!

Crowds at the beginning of August will be moderate. Some schools will have started by then so it won't be quite as bad as a full out summer day. Weekends will be super crowded, as they are year round. If you use fastpass and get there at park opening you'll have plenty of time to see everything.
