But that is not really hard to do. IMy wife and I are going to be aat WDW March 10-14. I have heard from different people that is a good time to go, but I have also heard that it is a bad time to go. We went the last two summers (June and July). can someone help me on this?

I am not sure (I have never been around that time) but I don't think that it would be really crowded because schools will be in and most people won't be taking vacations then. The only thing might be some spring breaks starting up but I think that, most if the time, spring breaks are a little later. Hoped that helped!

Not sure why but the resorts are classifying your dates as being in peak season. Historically, I don't see why those dates would be a problem.

Maybe someone with a little more insider info can shed some light on why 2/15/07 - 4/14/07 is considered peak. I can understand the first 2 weeks in April as that is traditional spring break time but I don't see why the last 2 weeks of February and all of March would fall into peak season.

We will be there the 14th-17th and we got one of the last rooms in the WL, though we had no problems with ADRs as long as we didn't want to eat at "normal" meal times.

We love going this time of year because it gets us away from the Northeast winters, which haven't been so bad this year :D .

My college age daughter has her Spring Break from the 10th thru the 18th ( but my 7th grader has her's closer to Easter) so maybe other schools are starting too? Either way, it will not be as crowded as July or August (thats when we usually visit WDW).

Relax and have fun.

That time is considered spring break for college. One of the reasons that is now peak season is because the Braves are there at that time. We have been that time of year, and the crowd levels are kind of mixed.

Most Spring Breaks in Alabama are duing March. This year, my kids school system will be having theirs in April, but most others will still be in March. Spring Break just varies from state to state /system to system.

When I was in college, our Spring Break was in the middle of March (OK, that was in prehistoric times  ).

Now, my kids (in Elem. school), have their SB first week of April.

Where I am in Alabama, a couple of counties have spring break mid-March and one in mid April. My sister-in-law, who teaches in one of them will be going March 17th-March 22nd. My mother-in-law teaches in another county and has spring break at the same time as my son, which is April16-April 20th. We are going 4/15-4/21. We are hoping for the best and preparing for the worst with crowds. We were not able to get our first choice in hotel, but were able to get the dining reservations we wanted at the times we wanted (actually good dining times). We were surprised! We have been enough times that we know what we want to do and what we can skip if crowds are as bad as we think.

Those dates should be reasonable, considering it's not during the normal spring break period, which is closer to easter. I really wouldn't worry about it, I think the crowds will be just fine.

It is EXTREMELY busy after Valentine's Day until the 3rd week of April. I've been there every month if not every week during that time. Plan your days if you can and take advantage of riding during parades and shows. :)

Some school breaks may be dictated by Easter - which can be from late March through to the middle-ish of April. This variation could be the reason for conflicting reports about whether this is a good time to visit or not.

Fewer and fewer schools have spring break right around Easter. Spring break season nowadays is the two months b/t Presidents Week and late April. March is a good time to go for other reasons though--namely, the weather. It's gorgeous in March. No longer cool like January and February can be but also not oppresively hot and muggy and there isn't much rain.

I could only speak for British schools - so apart from the British Invasion, it looks like you shot my theory down

Crowds tend to be heavier. You will see crowds likely like late June although possibly a bit heavier. The nice thing is that the weather is wonderful. Go and have fun. It will be about the norm for what you have seen crowd wise. I would highly suggest enjoying the days to walk around the resorts a bit and taking some nice, relaxing downtime.

There is never a bad time to go. That will be during spring break time. Just do some pre-planning and you will be fine. Book the ADR's you want early and avoid MK on Fri/Sat/Sun. Have a great trip!!:animwink:

I too will be going around this time, the 13th through 20th of March, and it pretty much sounds like a mixed bag to me in terms of crowds. I was there at this same time of March two years ago and the crowds were very manageable if you had a plan for what you wanted to do and what you wanted to see. While nothing was really a walk-on, nothing was really over and hour wait either.

Don't forget that Mardi Gras migrates according to Easter. This year it falls the week of Feb. 19th. Watch out for all the crazy Louisianans!

74 days until we are ºoºrlando bound on a school bus for 930 miles of smiles:lol:
