Trip Report Hurry back... Hurry back... (Now a trip report!)

That's right! Baby's first "post" (? perhaps peri-) pandemic Disney trip. When? Why, during the absolute brutal heat of August, of course! Details are subject to change because technicallyyyyyy my time off hasn't yet been approved however... I booked everything anyways . At the moment, looking at a stay at Pop! and will be hitting up Epcot, MK, and MGM/DHS (?). And I must be honest with you. I really must...

I'm trying to get Boo Bash tickets. Yes, Ms. I Will Never Pay for An After Hours Event is attempting to pay for an After Hours Event. But as you can see, it sure ain't working! So that is up in the air right now because I got bored calling over and over again. Honestly feel like I'm spending more money than usual but rationalizing it by saying "ohhhh but I haven't been in sooooooo long". And if I'm being ENTIRELY HONEST, the big allure for Boo Bash is more Haunted Mansion time lol.

How the heck does one get a boarding group for ROTR these days? What's the freshest strategy? Also I have no dining reservations because I can't decide where I should eat/if it's worth sitting down for a real meal. Any recommendations?

My first celebrity sighting of the trip!

LOLLLL I am not waiting in that line thank you very much. In fact, for this day, I promised myself I wouldn't go crazy since I knew I'd be back the following night for Boo Bash. With that in mind, I wasn't going to worry about getting on Space or Splash since I knew I'd grab it later.

ATTRACTION 25 COMPLETE! (A little under halfway there!!)

I was just going to say LET ME BUY THIS DISNEY and then I googled and there are.... erm,.... retailers selling this particular piece *add to cart*

You know, Walt loved the idea of progress and he loved the American family. He himself was probably as American as anyone could possibly be. He thought it would be fun to watch the American family go through the twentieth century experiencing all new wonders as they came.

If they ever get rid of COP I will be beside myself.

Say, Mother? She had her arm suspended motionless in front of her for the whole scene and was probably smiling her way through a killer cramp. She'll never finishing programming their new voice activation system

Next came the stupidest decision I made the entire trip.

GREETINGS FROM THE EXTENDED QUEUE FOR BUZZ LIGHTYEAR SPACE RANGER SPIN OF ALL THINGS! At least there were umbrellas? I think the wait was posted as 35 minutes and I was like LOL it won't be that, it's continuous load! And it was 35 minutes. I was dying. I hate the indoor queue for this ride so much. The alarms blaring. Literal flight or fight response trigger.

Need I remind you of my previous absolutely mortifyingly terrible scores on this ride? I was pleased with this one.
ATTRACTION 27 COMPLETE!

Join me for a quick water break in Tomorrowland won't you? It was flipping hot out. But my next attraction was quite literally in front of me.

We got stuck in a tunnel I had lunch reservations to get to! But it's fine, there are worse rides to be stuck on. Plus, PM had been down for so many months, I felt fortunate to ride it at all!
ATTRACTION 28 COMPLETE!

I was a teeny bit early to my reservation (like 10 minutes maybe?) so I popped a squat here and admired the castle. I was really excited for this one since I had heard nothing but good things about the Plaza!!

My view (not my belongings). I suppose I could have gotten a better view had I sat at the chair opposite me, but it was in the middle of the little dining room and I don't care for waiters moving behind me all the time. So I sat in the booth! And I ordered...

The driest 17$ club sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. I tried to salvage it by removing the middle piece of bread, but that didn't really do much. The fries were good though... I was disappointed in this meal and wouldn't go back to the Plaza after that. Also, that is a regular Coke not a Coke Zero . I drank like 2 of those and 2 waters at lunch (THIS INFORMATION IS VITAL FOR THE NEXT PART!). With lunch complete, it was time to get on another attraction.

I SWEAR to you, the wait time was posted as 20 minutes. I let this extended queue lie to me. It took 20 minutes to get where the annoying seagull is (Why am I forgetting his name? is it Gulliver?) my bladder was gonna EXPLODE no joke. I did the unthinkable, I back tracked my way out the line (a true walk of shame) and scurried to the bathroom LOL. I was not about to PEE my PANTS on Under the Sea, thank you very much.

Would I make it through this line???

Hello my little friends!

It IS a small world after all!

It was ACTUALLY 2:58 pm but... ATTRACTION 29 COMPLETE!

I was getting my steps in, I headed back to Tomorrowland to get on PM bUT THEN I WITNESSED SOMETHING TERRIBLE!!! I don't know if I'm bad luck or what. I was at the top of the up escalator/walkway and about 4 groups behind me was an elderly couple, the woman had limited mobility but could get out of her scooter and stand. Well, I was about to board when someone started shouting. It turns out the woman had fallen on the walkway and then ridden ALL THE WAY UP on her back with her husband struggling to keep her from tumbling down to the bottom, and not a single CM noticed until she was almost at the top, which is when the emergency stop button was pressed. She was thankfully uninjured, though her shirt was ruined and you can BET a manager was there in a flash. On the one hand, she likely shouldn't have attempted the walkway since she seemed really unsteady but also the response time from the CMs was kind of awful. I hate hate hate hate seeing people get injured (especially old people??? I have a core memory of riding the escalator at JCPenny and an old lady fell down it and cut her face open) so after riding PM I vowed to stay away from Tomorrowland until later that evening.

I understand your back track through the Little Mermaid line, I had to do the same in the Kilimanjaro Safari line. Although I had indulged in a few drinks at Nomad Lounge before that. Although when I went back to the safari line the line had gotten shorter so that was okay with me.

GOSH and that queue is longer. I absolutely would not have made it had it been that ride because the jostling truck... it would have been over even if I somehow managed to not pee myself in line lol. but also silver lining for the shorter line when you went back!

#backedup BUT ATTRACTION 31 COMPLETE!
It was time for something sweet... but mobile order tricked me!! I could not find citrus swirl float on the menu for Sunshine Tree Terrace so I ordered...

The Orange Cream float, which is orange dole whip and vanilla instead of orange juice concentrate and vanilla (citrus swirl). This was fine, but it wasn't a citrus swirl. In fact, in a citrus swirl I think you can appreciate/taste the vanilla more because it counters the tartness of the orange juice concentrate. But since I can't order an All American Sundae at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor right now (I am still crying about this) this was actually the only ice cream I think I ordered for the rest of the trip (so unlike me!!)

I was going to say, I have zero recollection of walking through Liberty Square/Fantasyland to get to the castle to then walk through it but then I remembered. Haunted Mansion was down! I think I swung by to see if there was any update and there wasn't so I decided to take a little wander through Main Street and hope for the best.

I stared at this shirt for a while wondering if I could somehow manage to fit into a shirt made for toddlers. But the design is so cute!!

I think these things are an absolute rip-off that also remind me of Build-A-Bear Workshop because you can buy them outfits but I will SAY, if they ever make a Tony Stark nuiMO, I would buy it so fast and then he would be my constant companion. But, doubtful.

ANYWAYS, this visit into the Emporium was not for nothing, I did in fact make a purchase!!

Believe me, I was oohing and ahhing the whole time. It's not much of a wallet (it doesn't have a bill pocket or anything like that), but I really only carry cards anyways, so I was happy to switch over when I got back home from my Serious Adult Woman Wallet to a TeeHee Disney Adult Wallet.

I was sitting in my usual spot off of Main Street admiring my purchase and desperately checking MDE every two seconds (HM was still down) and then something stumbled upon me...

It was nice to watch the flag retreat ceremony, I was texting my grandma about it thinking maybe one day we could do it for my grandpa. I was hopeful that Disney wasn't charging people for the honor (they don't phew) but it seems like the selection process is actually random.

HM was still down (boo) but I decided to mosey on up Main Street and maybe will it into reopening by being in close proximity. There was a P3 waiting to take a picture of someone, anyone, so I asked her if she would be willing to take my pic with my phone. As I was tucking my portable charger back into my pack (#fashion) (omg am having a meltdown that this is censored) she said "SELFIE!!!" and this was the result
