Hurricane Matthew

Maybe they will put up a sign and hope people will listen?
Crazy idea, I know. ;)

Unless someone is on a Disney website they probably won't even know it is open though.

Sure, that sign will work as well as "no flash photography allowed". I'm sure Disney Springs won't get too crowded tonight, but once the local news outlets and social media get word of it, lots of people will know.

Sensitive aren't we? I just don't get complaining about being moved out of campground and to a resort in the middle of a hurricane. How about a little gratitude? But I guess that's too much to ask.

As for comprehension, I do comprehend. I went through a hurricane only a month ago so I make an opinion with the experience to back it up.
Except that I said I was grateful, so you do have comprehension problems.

How can you make such a blanket statement? You could easily argue they act more civilized.

I've stayed at Pop, Music, Movies, Sports multiple times and can tell you first hand that the clientele and vibe at AKL, Boardwalk, Contemporary, and Polynesian are quite different.
I can make such a blanket statement. The clientele of a high-end hotel are absolutely more entitled than anything you may have personally observed. You obviously take offense to it, so you must be one of them. You are no different than that person (and I deleted the first term I was going to use to describe her) who is outraged that she was moved to a Value Resort from a Fort Wilderness cabin, describing room conditions that, quite frankly, I find unlikely to be true. You seem to have no hesitation making a blanket statement demeaning the Value Resort guests, but resent a blanket statement directed towards people like yourself. That's very hypocritical (and typical of pretentious entitled people).

You know what's funny?
It was an unfair blanket statement. You, @Nemo14 , and @JenniferS , all need to go back to sleep and wake up again. Even with what is going on right now in Daytona, this is a GOOD day. OMG do you guys realize what COULD have happened? No, we wouldn't have had Haiti level destruction, because contrary to belief on this board, our living conditions are a little bit different.. so the loss of life and property will thankfully never hit the kind of numbers that their's so sadly do.

I'll give you a bit of a pass because maybe you were up all night watching the news?lol Seriously though, we should all be relieved and happy..there's nothing wrong with that. No need to come on this thread and be nasty on a day that could have been so devastatingly different from what is.

uhh...why are you dragging @Nemo14 and @JenniferS into this convo?

We are currently staying at the GF and went for a ride this morning and everything looks fine. No down trees or anything like that just some leaves and small branches. went past Disney Springs and everything is good over there as well. Having weathered the storm here it really wasn't bad at all. Buses are stacked in Epcot and MK parking lots as well as RV's in MK lot

My statement took the other side of a blanket statement.

That's silly why do they want to restrict disney springs to just hotel guests when the curfew has been lifted and people can come out

Just speculating, but I'd wager that they don't have enough employees to fully staff DS. By opening it up to resort guests they're taking care of their paying customers, and the rest of the public can just wait a day.

Because they have not returned to full staffing levels. Only selected shops and dining locations will be open tonight.
