I dont know why they couldnt have had them submerge during the day then rise up for the show, even if not 100 percent submerged to me there were better options, that would have reached the same end goal.
Is the lagoon deep enough for that?I dont know why they couldnt have had them submerge during the day then rise up for the show, even if not 100 percent submerged to me there were better options, that would have reached the same end goal.
They could have dug out pits or designed the equipment to fold down.Is the lagoon deep enough for that?
Its disney it could have been collapsible under water or something, or a big pit dug out, I keep thinking back to bob gurr and thinking that the old WED team wouldnt have built this. Where is that creative genious now? Or do we still have it and they are told no, thats too expensive. Is the lagoon deep enough for that?
The daytime fountains make them look worse -- they tried it.
I'm not sure how they didn't realize that originally because it was pretty obvious that was never going to be a workable solution.
Universal owns the rights. They just need to get that cloak of invisibility working. It would be magic!

The barges are an interesting allegory of what has happened to Disney. The concept of themed entertainment has focused on being immersive - where there are no hints of the real world to drag you away from this other place and time. The barges are just plain U-G-L-Y! UGLY!!
She can magically make money appear for sure....Not true. JK Rowling invented magic in all forms, not to mention the concept of witches and wizards. It's all hers.
The fountains probably broke during testing (pumps clogged etc.) or maybe the decided constantly soaking the works with the fountains would lead to failures during the show.
