lol.... nah... Thats not it... Im just a bit bummed out right now... I'm sick of Chicago (just about) and I am not really in the mood this year.

Mad/tigsmom said it the best, I guess.

I think I will put up the tree, later in the week... just so I dont get too depressed. See, if I dont put it up, it will just make me even more bummed out. Maybe I will put up some of my Dept. 56 Village stuff to.

And... I am so not even ready, nor do I have the energy to do Christmas shopping... I think its just gonna be a gift card Christmas for everyone, from me this year. Its just easier... and that way I keep my spending in line.

Last year I went all out and got everyone just about everything they wanted... I was running from store to store (plus working the 2 jobs). Crazy, really. This year... I dont think thats gonna be the case.

BTW... I had about 800+ e-mails here at work... during my 2 week absence  NICE! :hammer: *pokes outlook with a stick* lol.

I have not really had the spirit this year....I forced myself to put up a tree, and it helped a bit...as did going to the MVMCP and CP.......I still have not shopped....don't really feel like it.

I'm currently searching online for some inspiration. It also beats putting up with the crowds. I don't know, is it just a Britsh thing that shop customers have ZERO Christmas goodwill at this time of year?

I nearly found something for my sister in Boston, but the store will only accept American Visa cards

No, it's not just a british thing. This is the time of year when you see people not at their best. *sigh* I've decided to do most of my shopping on-line too...so much easier and it's saving me a lot of headaches and they come giftwrap :D.
The bad thing about on-line shopping, I buy extra things for me :lookaroun

It's the theatrical training. Sign up for your local theatre club and you too will soon be giving out oversized huggles.

Is everyone sleeping in? Morning Huggles

I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me and we all could use more calm in our lives. By following the simple advice I have finally found inner peace.

The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things
you have started. So I looked around my house to see things I started and hadn't finished; and, before leaving the house this morning I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of White Zinfandel, a bottle of Baileys a bottle of
Kahlua, a package of Oreos, the remainder of both Prozac and Valium prescriptions, the rest of the Cheesecake, some Saltines and a box of Chocolates.

Ahh memories of those wonderful people at Hallmark Cards who would not let me attend the Christmas parties out of sheer bloody mindedness.

My current employer had theirs on Saturday. A full and rich day, I was working the afternoon in my hobby capacity, crewing a large scale community theatre production of Sound of Music, went to the company meal (a rather nice Chinese) at Six in the evening and was back at the Theatre for the second act of the evening performance followed by the get out that lasted until 1:30 in the am. Unfortunatley the after show party ended at 1:00, so the crew missed out on that.
