We've had three days 90 or above the whole Summer. Not bad for those who do not like the heat, but pool attendance has suffered.

Like the way you dig sunsets, Tigsmom, that's gold. . .

DMC-12

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
So I was driving in today... and I was heading down upper Wacker Drive like I usually do... and a cabbie comes from the left out of no where... almost sending me into a bunch of news trucks in front of the Sears Tower...

*pulls out hair*

Good Times! :brick:

*HUGGLES* to me!!!! School starts today! :sohappy:

One down, one to go...then to the diner to celebrate. :D

Enjoy your day, tigsmom.

Just think no more arguing all day......then again there's the homework speech, the go to bed speech, the time to get up speech.......oops sorry those are all the speeches my wife gives to me during the school year. Hope this year is better. Last year's 7th graders were horrible. Everyday I heard I don't want to go to school.....then I realized that was me!

We start Tuesday, and the students start Wednesday.

We start Tuesday here, and have two glorious days of Superintendent's Conference Days (need I say more?!?); then the kids start Thursday.

My personal favorite among the mandatory workshops we attend annually is the HazMat workshop, where they solemnly instruct us to avoid put Crazy Glue in our eyes, and never dump lighter fluid in the toilet while simultaneously lighting a match. (They USED to tell us to never inhale ditto machine fluid, which just happened to be the highlight of some peoples' day... )

I used to have a toner habit, but everyone could tell from the black powder on my nose.

We have the "right to know" at 10:00 on Tuesday. This year I'm a little nervous, because I was elected president of our Teacher's Association and I have to give an opening day speech. Can you say Short and Sweet?

Enjoy your two days of Superintendent's meetings, and have a good school year.

Does anyone else find it amusing that Jesus(from The Passion) is now playing Superman? That guy's so gonna get a superiority complex.

No....there is really no place to go, the highways are gridlocked, and not moving anywhere anytime soon.

I will be in one of my resorts for the storm, along with Speck of course.

Good luck huggles requested to see if I can salvage my Disney World holiday tomorrow. The airline decided that rather than arrange new flights for after the hurricane they would just cancel everyone's holiday.

What is really annoying is that I suspected they would do this and have been chasing them the past few days to get confirmation of this so I could arrange something for Monday, but they deliberately left it until late today in the hope they could make people go to a different destination as they have no time left to arrange an alternative route to Orlando.

I'm hoping I can sort something out tomorrow morning.

To all those who are aware of this situation from my posts in the hurricane thread, sorry for the repeat performance.

**huggles** I know you have been looking forward to this for some time...hopefully it will all work out for you.
