speck, we got hit with a wicked thunderstorm earlier this evening. We're having a BBQ tomorrow & the tent is up...I was just praying that it didn't blow away. The yard is flooded & the road is a mess. Hopefully the rain forcasted for tomorrow will stay far away.

It's been rainy here all week. :( We even lost a tv in one storm.

It's been cooler here this week though. That's been nice. It's 72 right now.

why?

...STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS EXPECTED ALONG THE INTERSTATE 4 CORRIDOR FROM METRO ORLANDO INTO VOLUSIA COUNTY INTO THIS EVENING...

AT 615 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG STORMS ACROSS LAKE COUNTY AND NORTHWEST PORTIONS OF LAKE COUNTY. MEANWHILE...THE EAST COAST ATLANTIC SEA BREEZE WAS MOVING INLAND TOWARD INTERIOR SECTIONS OF VOLUSIA COUNTY AND CENTRAL SEMINOLE AND ORANGE COUNTIES. AS THE SEA BREEZE BOUNDARY AND PRE EXISTING THUNDERSTORMS INTERACT BETWEEN 630 PM AND 830 PM THIS EVENING...RAPID DEVELOPMENT OF NUMEROUS STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MAY RESULT. LOCALLY DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...FREQUENT TO EXCESSIVE LIGHTNING WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS. WHEN STORMS DEVELOP... MOVE INDOORS INTO A STURDY STRUCTURE. LISTEN FOR FURTHER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

This really sucks

*hem hem* Some of us were at the Magic Kingdom when this all started to happen.

Last summer, my daughter and I were at Animal Kingdom during the hardest downpour I've ever seen. The water was ankle-deep everywhere because the drains were clogged with downed foliage. Needless to say, we were so wet we had to wring our clothes out when we finally slogged our way back to our hotel!

On one of my flights to Orlando the plane landed in something like like, it was classified as a tropical rainstrom. I've yet to ride a rollercoaster that was a bumpy or had so many sharp drops  The plane was full of about 300 wide eyed scare holiday makers and probably thirty coaster nutters like me enjoying the ride.

Morning everyone! *huggles*

Well, I've got a houseful of people coming for the BBQ today. I've got the reputation of picking the hottest day of the year.

Looks like I may finally break it...its 61 degrees overcast & the yard is sopping wet. :(

I really don't have enough room for everyone inside. Cross your fingers for me that the sun comes out at least.

Oh my! I'm a coaster nut, but don't do planes that well. I get wigged out on bumpy fliglhts. I just sit there and think.... there's nothing under for a loooong ways down, and nothing really holding us up. Nope, don't do planes very well.

I hope it warms up and dries up for you! It was raining here earlier, but the sun is coming out now and things are clearing up. (*crosses fingers for you*)

Ooh, I had a flight home like that from Hawaii once! There was a typhoon moving into the area on the day we were scheduled to leave - the airports were PACKED with people trying to get home before it hit. We ended up flying right through it, actually, and boy was that a wild ride! Sharp drops like a coaster! They tried to do a snack service, but the ride was so wild that they had to stop about a third of th way down the cabin because the cart in the aisle was so unsafe. I gotta agree with you, though - I enjoyed it! :D
