You probably just gave the guys at Universal another harry potter product idea. Their's will probably run about $30 a bottle though because it will have a cool Harry Potter label.

I've read that the stuff on Amazon is the real deal and not the US bottled sauce. I've seen it in our international aisle at the supermarket, but I'm guessing it's the US bottled version.

It's a British "brown sauce".

Think A-1 but with a sweeter, raisin-y taste (from the tamarinds).

Yep Amazon's is shipped directly from the UK So much cheaper than buying it at Epcot!

I'm pretty sure it's more expensive than $4 a bottle, but they sell the stuff locally at the upscale grocery places like Whole Foods and Fresh Market.

It's only really used in bacon or sausage sandwiches and as a dipping sauce for steak fries.

My husband makes this nasty sandwich called a "Chip Butty." It is comprised of steak fries on buttered bread with brown sauce. It sounds like skeevy stoner food to me.

He actually puts HP on a lot of his food--bacon sandwiches, sausage sandwiches, battered fish, eggs, fries and Shepherd's Pie. He makes a fry-up every Saturday and he puts it on everything. There is always a bottle in our fridge. LOL
