How would you feel if Disney World rebuilt its Castle?

I think adding something like fiber-optic lighting would be great.

Or at least a new lighting design for the castle...ours is a bit...1994 ish. Look at DL's castle LD or even Disneyland Paris' LD on that castle. Lighting has come a very long way since our castle was re-done.

I think the Gold should come down...it was good for a while, but i can't tell what time it is when that mirror thing is in the way of the clock! Besides that...The Castle is a landmark, the most photographed building in the world, let's bring it back to it's original glory.

The only part of the Castle that should come down IMHO is the mirror, as it looks terribly out of proportion.

Rebuild? O_O BLASPHEMY!! Seriously, no. But I did think it'd be neat if they kept the decorations minus the giant mirror thing. I likd it but if they were to keep the stuff, that would still have to go in my opinion 'cause of the theme and I miss the clock.

Good idea. I thought I saw video of some sort of fiber-optics thing similar to Paris' on Travel Channel. Guess it was some CGI add on to demonstrate what they have in mind.

Take down that mirror and put my clock back up! I proposed under that clock, and I miss it!!!

I like some of the gold they put on there, it would be nice to keep a little of it around. Some has to go, though, as I feel it makes the castle "too busy". Fiber optic lighting sounds like it could be very nice, I would look forward to seeing that in-person.

In terms of making the castle bigger, there's not much they can add, heightwise. Florida law requires anything higher than 200 feet to have a red blinking light attached and the castle is currently (I believe) 189 feet tall. They intentionally kept it under 200 to avoid that requirement.

Yes, that is a cool CGI, but I'm still not convinced that paris is fiber-optic as opposed to intellegent/lazer lighting. Probally just my point of view on the video. It looked projected to me, but would still be really neat at WDW!

I am always for change on certian things at the WDW Resort. I loved some of the things done, like the wand on SE and the castle cake for the 25th but I certainly dont think the castle should totally be changed. For temporary changes I think it's cool and fun to see, but not for good.

I said Fiber-optics 'cause I couldn't think of intellegent/lazer lighting. Can't keep these names straight.

I think everyone would be totally gutted. It is as it is and should always stay that way. Tall, beautifully outstanding and original. Dont change something that doesnt need changing.

Personally, I hate the wand. It takes away from the awe inspiring symbol that is Spaceship Earth. With Mickey's hand over it, it almost seems that he dominates the world.

I love the look that it's at now, I think that they might keep it that way because it looks so cool, but I haven't heard any official word on this matter.
