How was your Valentine's Day?

My Valentine's Day sucked as I stated earlier, but on Sunday, my wife got home.

I had chocolates and flowers for her (and spicy nuts because I always tell her she is one hot nut!)

We spent a good long time just talking. I had been travelling so much and then she had to travel so we talked for almost 3 hours straight laughing and joking and just enjoying actually being with each other, no television, no distractions.

It was great :) Sunday made up for an uneventful 14th.

Do any of you dance teachers have a day that does not involve the word "rush"?

Errrr no, my life is one long round of rush. As well as actually teaching dance you have to deal with parents who are so love blind that they cannot see that their daughter has no talent, rhythm or co-ordination. The reason being is that it's 99% genetic from their parents!!

And how many times last week did you yell the word "SMILE"?
:hammer:

Thousands of times!!!! You sound as if you have intimate knowledge of showbusiness! I also had to endure an adjudicator that didn't know about Greek dancing and other schools ripping off routines we had done a few years ago.

I love my job!!

As the thread drifts inexorably away from the topic….

I know a thing or two about stage work. Both parents are old pros, but I went the way of a regular income and a proper job. I have almost twenty years am-dram experience from the most hideous of church hall tat to £90,000 productions in 2000 seat theatres.

I am also good friends with the folk who run a major dance school in Bath and have helped out there, either on stage or off stage. I always chuckle between the two. In theatre the director is forever yelling “Stop standing in lines” and at the dance school I keep hearing “get in lines”
