How to get excited for WDW?

I am going to WDW in June 2014 and I am not really that excited as I was a month ago :S. Maybe its because I am friends with a few cast members on facebook and they have statuses about how they hate it there and insulting guests.
Maybe its anxiety or something but like sometimes when I think of going for a meet and greet with a character "A guy in a costume" comes to mind.

I went there two years ago and loved every bit of it.

1) Whip out your favorite Disney movies and watch 'em, one per week.
2) Make a Disney playlist for your iPod/ MP3 player. If your not a fan of the originals, there a lot of good covers in a variety of styles. I favor rock/ alternative, so I have Stellar Kart, Suburban Legends, The Rationals (best cover of Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah EVER), Los Lobos, and more.
3) Play Q-Bert, who's featured in Wreck-It Ralph.
4) Adjust your facebook settings, if possible, so you don't see your friends negative comments.

I agree with ignoring the FB posts. That'll suck the magic right out of any vacation!

I love the idea of watching the movies. Last year, my kids and I watched you-tube videos all the time. While it was fun, in some ways it took away the excitement of actually being there because we didn't really feel like we were that far-removed. So, this time, we're sticking to the cartoons so when we get there it will actually have been a year or more since we saw any of this stuff and it will all be very exciting to us!

Thread hi-jack (sorry): I didn't know that Q-Bert was featured in Wreck-It Ralph. A few months ago I was at Dave & Busters Arcade, and I was remembering that game from my childhood. I went home and searched for it on Amazon and found a desktop version, and I bought it. I have had such fun introducing my own kids to it after all these years.

Oh, yeah. He plays a big part in that movie. Won't say anymore as it seems you haven't seen it yet.

1. Create your own countdown. We did a paper chain and drew or wrote something Disney-related on each link. There are several free downloadable countdowns for your desktop as well.

2. Do some planning-watch (or order if you didn't) the DVD, make a packing list, etc.

3. Go on the Disney website and create your personalized map (they still do that, right?) Be sure to include restaurants that you want to be sure to visit.

3. Designate 1 night every couple of weeks as "Disney night." Select a Disney movie to watch (Star Wars and Indiana Jones qualify) and make at least one dish that reminds you of Disney (even Donald Duck orange juice or cheese cut into Mickey shapes on crackers; see the recipe thread on this site for help if you'd like something more challenging).

4. Buy a Disney-themed calendar for next year and hang it up now.

5. Distance yourself from negativity. When visiting this site, choose to pass on threads that are obviously complaint-oriented; hide posts from your castmember friends on FB.

6. Look at the photos from your last trip; they may remind you of some great things that you had forgotten.

I've found that I get out of something what I put into it; in this case, plan to enjoy yourself again, and you will. Hope this helps.

The Avengers movies count too! ;)

It will kick in. I am the same way. I book and am excite about my trip at that time, but daily life just makes it difficult to just sit around and think about it. However, once we hit that 30 mark, I start getting the itch real bad. I am at 17 days and going crazy.
