Pre-Trip How to celebrate a proper 20/40 in just 18 months...

Hello again…It seems only fitting that we invite you all along again since you were there for the first five surf n turf adventures. This time should be slightly more epic. I’ve been going back and forth about even doing a TR for this trip. After a few of these things you can start getting burned out and wonder if there is even value in it. I ebb and flow on it depending on the day and have even been putting this off for a while. I think I’ll go back to a traditional TR(not live) and see how that goes. Let us get some business out of the way first for those not in the know.

What: The 20/40 Surf n Turf trip of funtivities to celebrate things and stuff

When: May 3-13

Where: A Caribbean Fantasy sammy on Poly bread!

Why: Well, we’re kind of killing two birds with this endeavor. This year we each hit an individual milestone as well as a shared milestone, I’ll let you Nancy Drew that. Let’s just say one of us hits one milestone before the other by a few months and I may like to brag about it at times ;):D

We are just 11 days out and still have a ton of packing to do, if you followed our April trip this should be no surprise. So far we have received more Christmas garland links as well as our cruise documentation.

Yeah they do! Unfortunately with school schedules, (and a PTO blackout due to core conversion next Jan - May) we’ve had to start looking at the summer again. We usually would take him out of school, but “whoops” we’ve already planned his 5 days out in Nov for Disney at Turkey day :joyfull:). Only good news is we booked opening day and had a placeholder!!

We got a killer deal for our 7 night Fantasy in January, about 30 days out. Still can’t believe it...which made this one all the more difficult to swallow! Hooray for a long countdown to pay it all off :facepalm::)

Yay! Can't wait to hear all about it! Happy anniversary and birthdays! We are also celebrating 20 this year, but we our other milestone is 45!:arghh: And Brian also gloats because I hit it a few months before him! Would love to see a TR since we haven't been on the Fantasy yet. Will definitely be checking out the IG posts from @imahistorygeek ! Have a great trip!

Well, duh! I'm not that dumb. You made it sound like it was some Disney cruise milestone.

Well, believe it or not, we are probably about 90% packed right now! We made a trip to Kroger to get another gift card for the trip and smashed some fuel points, 2000! I also picked up another pair of cheap sunglasses.

Whats the over/under on how long it takes me to loose/destroy these this trip?

We stopped off at the package store to pick up half of my Castaway Cocktail mix

A first for me on this upcoming cruise is participating in a beer exchange. Several of us cruisers will each bring a six pack and go through a "beer draft" selecting one at a time from the other members selection. I decided to bring a split six pack made up of two local breweries, three porters and three double IPA. I know what you're thinking, why no Monkey!?!? Well the idea of the exchange is to bring beer beer others would not be able to get locally. Since I can get that PA brew readily here in the peach state I'm guessing other states can get it too. Left Nut and Grumpy Old Men, as I know it, are not available outside of Georgia and they are both very local to me.

Finally, here is the much hyped Inferno from our reserve that I highly recommend anyone try next fall.
