So for my 29th birthday this year in Sept., The mrs. and I will be making our first trip to WDW. So I guess I am looking for any birthday hints for an adult to check out. I know about the "It's my birthday" button, and will be sure to pick one of those up. and we made ADR for Sci-Fi Dine in because I'm such a nerd, but I'm looking for suggestions for anything else to check out.

You can get the birthday pins at all the parks during your trip. When you go to each park just go to guest services and tell them it's your birthday. My friend did this and then wore all the pins on her actual birthday. The only place we had trouble was at MGM, they didn't have "biirthday" pins, but gave her a "congratulations" pin instead.

Jellyrolls (on the Boardwalk) is a hoot if you've never been there... I love the Spirit of Aloha dinner show at Poly & dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh (with a belly dancer!) is always a must for me... Maybe an IllumiNations cruise? Kinda depends what you're into  Have fun and Happy Birthday!!

The California Grill (at the Contemporary) is nice for dinner. It's a more upscale restaurant (less kids) and it's fun to get a little more dressed up at WDW. You have views of Bay Lake at night, which is really pretty and at 8 or 9pm, you can watch the fireworks go off over the castle (set to music). I also recommend Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge or getting a drink/dessert at the Polynesian resort and listening to hawaiian music - the lava cake at the Kona Cafe is pretty good. They usually have a nightly hula show in the lobby and it's nice to walk around outside with all of the tiki torches lit up. You can also watch the fireworks from the beach at the Poly (set to music).

I reccomend Artist Point (at Wilderness Lodge) also, we had a celebration dinner there and it was SO GOOOOOD.

Another way to celebrate your birthday is to have a drink in every country at Epcot (if you drink) it's a fun game to play.

EDIT* Sci fi is a fun place to eat, but the food is pretty plain counter service like meals, it has a nice atmosphere, but the food isn't too great.

I too have a Birthday this sept and this is what were doing:

- Breakfastat Cape May Cafe
- Monorial up to MK resort area to rent the mice boats around bay lake and sevens seas lagoon
- bus ride to downtown disney... some shopping, snacking, MAYBE a visit to BBB to get my "diva princess" hair-do
- Dinner at Planet Hollywood
- La Nouba show at 9pm
- Rest of the night at Pleasure Island

:king:

There's a bunch of options out there for you! Since your in the MGM area, maybe head over to the Boardwalk and enjoy drinks and desserts at one of the resturants or resorts after dinner and maybe fantasmic. Theres also a miniture golf course right by the Swan and Dolphin thats a lot of fun!

A character breakfast is the way to go! I had my 26th birthday at Chef Mickey's. It was wonderful!! The characters and everybody in the restaurant was singing and waving their napkins. It was wonderful.

I hope that you have a great one!

Another fun idea is to book a tour. I suprised my husband (for his birthday) with the Epcot Segway tour. It was 2-hours total, one hour instruction inside and one hour on the segway, winding your way around the World Showcase. It was a lot of fun, and something different for someone whose been to WDW many times.

They also have other tours, such as lunch with an Imagineer, etc

 Definitely go and check out Pleasure Island at nite. Sci-fi is very basic food, though the old movies are kinda fun. How about Boma at the AKL? Maybe a carriage ride at POR. Depends what you want to spend but some of the tours are neat.

If you enjoy beer, drink around the world at EPCOT! We did this for my 31st birthday back in January and had a blast. The next day wasn't so productive though...
