Okay so last time I went to Disney world I did not go on MS. We actually didnt think of it bc my friends thought it was too much. Now I never been to WDW at this point so I was like come on guys! But I am glad we didnt go on it after hearing more about it when I got home. But I know that there is the other version, I think the orange team? How tame is the second version? Like do you still get sick and spin around and stuff like that?

The Orange (More Intense) side is still the same ride as from 2003.

Green (Less Intense) just rocks your simulator back and forth, with a little to the left & right.

I've done Orange about five times and have decided that I'm done
with that. Just don't find it pleasureable at all.

I went on Green for the first time and thought it was a good
experience, would definitely recommend it. You basically
get the full experience, without the spinning. I thought
it was well done.

Still not my favorite attraction, though.

You don't spin at all on the 'new' version, I've never seen anyone get sick on it (and I used to work there, so I've seen many more people ride it than most!)

I much prefer the intense version...most of the time people get sick, it's because they don't listen to the warnings about not closing your eyes, looking around (typically that one comes from parents wanting to look over at their child), etc.

The tamer version is great for peeps who don't do spinning....very tame. We all felt awful after riding the initial version years ago....my one child would not go for the following years til this past year when after trying the green version myself and he said it was fine....NO SPINNING required...no pressure felt....my youngest was rather disappointed that you really don't DO anything....the interactive part is not very interactive on either version imo. Would be nice if you got different results in response to not fufillling your mission on time....:lookaroun

^Exactly. I've been on a million times and not once seen anyone yodel groceries. If you get sick it's frankly because you didn't listen to the warnings or you set your mind so dead set on coming off this thing sick that it becomes a self-fulfilled prophecy.

Anyone who doesn't have motion sickness, dimesia, vertigo, inner ear problems, stuff like that, should ride the orange version. The green version has just become the "excuses pods".

I respectfully disagree with you in every possible way.

I have been on every roller coaster and most simulators imaginable across the country and have never had any issue however I just cannot do "spinny" rides. I cannot even do the tea cups!!!

I've done both versions of MS and the orange one made me extremely "queezy" for the rest of the day. I listened to each and every warning (thank u very much) and did what I was supposed to and I still almost :hurl:. It is not an "excuse pod" in any way.

Does anyone else not find orange exciting at all? I rode orange twice back in 2004 and could barely feel anything. I like a good rollercoaster, but I'm not a fighter pilot or anything, and I couldn't see why anyone would think it was too intense, unless perhaps the enclosed dark ride space puts them on edge.

To say that everyone gets sick because they are not listening to the safety spiel is a bit much. You can definitely tell that your spinning even if you do exactly what they say. Its mostly when the simulator is "spinning up" to speed or slowing its spinning down. Thats my experience with it anyways. I have never had a protein spill or any problems more than just disorientation on the ride, but overall I dont really find the orange side enjoyable.

To the OP, green is very very tame. As long as your not claustrophobic, i say atleast give it a shot. And I still think you should give orange a try atleast one time :)

Hence why I said:

"Anyone who doesn't have motion sickness, dimesia, vertigo, inner ear problems, stuff like that, should ride the orange version. "

Having an aversion or sensitivity to spinning falls well under that.

I agree. I have no problems with Mission:Space or any type of rollercoaster or spinning rides. Ferris Wheels, on the otherhand, make me naseous.

I have never done the green version, and other than a slight dizziness from orange and a mild headache from the dizziness, I have never had a problem. I actually have more of a problem from Star Tours. I usually end up with a massive headache after that one.

Go for it Star Tours is far more intense.

Its fine a little to tame while I could never handle orange this side is way to tame. More tame than STar Tours by alot.

I had no idea Star Tours was considered "intense" by anyone. It's the cheesiest, most unrealistic, and not intense at all ride with a height restriction.

I've been on Mission Space Green a couple times with my kids. It was a lot more intense than I expected it to be and still got my stomach to drop a few times (and I am usually extremely immune to simulators). Orange is a lot more fun, but Green was an acceptable option as well.

I have SEVERE motion sickness. I would never, in my wildest dreams, ride Orange. However, a few years ago, I rode Green. I was definitely sweating by the end.

While is just rocks and tilts, the video on the screen still got to me. No matter how good their technology is, they can never say that the video is in perfect sync with the motions. Nothing can re-produce reality.

But if you don't get ill walking across a floor that's 1/2" out of level like I do, you can ride Green with no problem. My brother and friends rode Orange and had to sit down afterwards for a while - and they're all strong willed people.
