How soon before 2011 prices available?

Anyone know when Disney publishes the next years prices (2011)? We are planning on going in early October.

Does Disney offer complimentary room upgrades randomly or do I have to search for upgrades?

Start keeping an eye out for 2011 rates towards the end of the 1st week of August. You can make a room-only reservation prior to the rate being released but your reservation & deposit will be at the highest rate in 2010. Then when the new rates are released your reservation will be modified to fit the appropriate pricing (most likely will go down) and you can convert to a package if that's what you want to do.

Complimentary room upgrades aren't really something you can find or do anything to increase your chances of getting. When Disney has openings in higher room categories that they need to fill for their own purposes they sometimes offer upgrades. If you get one it will be much closer to your travel dates or even at check-in. Also, during the coming year as you are planning you can keep an eye out for discounts & things like that to have applied to your existing reservation. That's what I did for our trip this past January. The in-laws and I had both our room-only reservations at AKL completely paid off at full rack rate rather early. When the discounts for our dates were released I called & had the discount applied. By doing that we generated a huge credit on each room (something like $1600 or $1800). Instead of having all that credited back to my Disney Visa (which was also paid off) & waiting for them to issue me a check for the credit we both elected to have Disney hold onto the credit for us to charge against when we got there. So upon check-in we had our rooms totally paid, already had our passes (bought separately), and a huge chunk of money to spend on our room charge that we used for our dining. It worked out wonderfully!

In uk and ireland the rates are out plus free dining is available in may to june and august through october :sohappy:

If you look towards the top of this forum (the WDW Resorts and Trip Planning Forum), you'll see a post by JP VonDrake saying "2010 Packages Available Today" or something like that. The date he posted that was August 2, 2009. So hopefully it will be the same this year for 2011 rates.
