My average visits since 2003 has been a little more than once every two years. Now that we’ve purchased APs, we have four more trips planned this year.

I live in Tennessee. I visit Disney world 4-8 times a year. And Disneyland usually twice a year. Last year it was wdw in Jan. Feb. May. Dec. and Disneyland in feb. and December.

It was rare to miss 4th of July fireworks and food and wine festival last year but work schedules lined up in an odd way.

We usually do seven-day trips and have been going to WDW at least once a year since 1984 (usually in May or June) - twice a year (May and October) since we joined DVC in 2008, and the last few years we added a November trip to do the things we couldn't get to in October. We haven't kept an accurate count, but we are probably closing in on 50 trips.

I would go about once every 18 months if everything went my way. And by "my way" I mean tolerable crowd levels. It is just too busy for me lately. I am on indefinite hiatus until that gets sorted. I will probably crack at some some point and go anyway, but at that point visits will be measured in times-per-decade.

...I can feel the crack starting. I am beginning to forget how miserable the crowd levels have become. I may need a refresher. :p

Weve tried to visit once a year but there have been times weve been able to go twice in a year. Because of driving distance, getting the time away from business, cost and other commitments, those twice a year visits havent occurred as often as wed have liked.

As you can see from my signature, at least 3 times a year, sometimes 4. Started out as buying an AP because I had two trips planned, and has turned into "well how many times can I go to justify my AP?" :p I'm also a teacher, so I have all summer to do it every year. And I'm not yet married so it's one of the few places I can go alone once in a while and not feel weird about it, but still have a blast and always see something new. I also have lots of family in FL that come up from Miami to meet me for a day or two on my trips.

I live in the UK so a WDW trip is mega expensive ($10k+) so we only go once every 4 years or so. To tide us over we go to Disneyland Paris in the off season as it’s pretty cheap. Our last WDW trip was in 2015 and we were due back this year but we’ve pushed it back to 2021 for the 50th Anniversary. However, WDW is now so ridiculously expensive that if prices keep going up by 2021, we will probably just not go anymore at all, not worth the expense anymore. Disneyland Paris has some exciting expansions on the horizon so we’ll just go there for our Disney fix instead, but even then prices there are creeping up now TWDC fully owns it.

I couldn’t go every year or more than once a year, not sure how you do it, went to DLP in 2017 and 2018 and got ‘bored’ pretty quick in 2018 as nothing had really changed, still had a great time. The four year gap is great as it allows new rides and shows each visit.

I'm trying to find out a little more about the demographics this forum? Which category do you belong in?
there should be a subcategory for "Newfoundlands are the best dogs"

We usually visit in Jan. since becoming DVC members in 1992. Our son has been running all of the marathon week races for the last 10 years. The last 5 to 6 years we have also visited during the Flower & Garden Festival in the spring.

Less and Less

Us too. Used to go multiple times a year. Now we do a "large" trip - as in a week with the entire family once every 2 or 3 years. My wife and I will hit F&W for a long weekend roughly the same amount - once ever 2 or 3 years.

We own DVC as well, but even with "paid for" lodging, we are not finding WDW worth the price anymore. Between the lower quality food and service, the crowds, the scheduling of FP+ and ADRs, the charges every time you turn around, and the cost of admission (not to mention airfare, which is not Disney's fault) our vacation dollars are better spent elsewhere.

If it were completely up to me we would go every year, during the Christmas season. However, my wife says we have to start seeing other things around the world so looks like it will be every other year. Although things worked out for us to go twice this year because I found a conference being held at the GF. ;)

We go once a year, but skip a year after every few trips.

Got to keep it somewhat special and allow it to feel semi-new by the time we go.

It’s similar to my yearly vacay to the beach. I love going to the beach, but doubt I will ever move to the coast bc I don’t want it to become mundane and a regular things. I like the tingles and being “too excited to sleep.”

We try to get there once or twice a year from Pennsylvania. However the past two years, with my daughter and two of her friends working the College Program, we were down six times in two years. Don't see that happening again. I'm torn between what the better time is to visit. Fell in love with Universal's Horror Nights last year, but I still love the Christmas decorations in all of the parks. Good reason to go twice in three months.

WE buy an AP and go late September first year and then early September for the second year. Get to use AP twice that way. So while we have the AP we sometimes go in spring. Cost of a trip is a lot less when you have an AP. This year will be one of the twice. Going with grandson during April vaction.
