How much to bring??

I've seen another thread about this, but I have the same question....

We will have the hotel paid, tickets paid, tickets to MNSSH paid, dining taken care of (except supper at Paradiso 37), and tickets/transportation to Universal paid...

How much money should we bring for souvenirs, tips, etc...?? There will be me and my wife and we have the Disney Dining plan for 10 days. We'll also be there for Sept. 30 and the International Food and Wine festival (plan to use snack credits for that).

It would be helpful to figure out how much we should have saved.

Everyone is different, so it is hard to say.

You will pay for the tips on your sit down meals, so look at the menus and calculate the tips.

If you want to tip your room mousekeeper, add a couple of dollars a day for that.

Would you like an alcoholic beverage once in a while? Budget $10-15 for each of those.

Souvenirs are up to individual taste. Make a budget for that and stick to it.

I don't carry cash in the parks. I just charge everything to the credit card attached to my room using my 'Key to the World' card.

I've been having a hard time doing the math on this myself. Mostly because I keep trying to just ' think it over' in my head. My trip will be myself and my boyfriend, for 6 days 5 nights and we also have the dining plan. I honestly think we're looking at maybe $80-100 a day, depending on exactly what we do?
I think what I'm going to do is really sit down and look at each day seperately; where we are eating, what tips might look like, will we have a few drinks, etc.
I figure I'd rather have too much put aside than not enough!

My boyfriend and I were in Disney last year in October for the Food and Wine Festival. We budgeted around $100 day to be on the safe side. If it wasn't for Universal we would of been under budget. We used almost all of our snack credits at the Food and Wine Festival. If you plan on eating more or trying the drinks, the best thing to do is to buy the re-loadable cards the make specially for the festival and budget yourself that way.

This is so hard because everyone is different. For my DH and I, I bring $100/day. Here is how we came to this amount. We always have the DDP but we have to tip and usually get a drink or two. We usual have additional meals to pay for out of pocket - such as an extra character dining breakfast or something. And we do love our snacks and souvenirs. So even though we do not spend $100 every day, we might spend more one day and less another. But on average, we spend $100 a day for the length of our trip. We also have a good idea of which souvenirs we are getting ahead of time. For me, I get the popcorn bucket, new scrapbook and maybe some items to go along with that. Usually we will get the DH a T shirt or 2 and i'll get an article of clothing and some accessories and we both get pj's. I will say, now that Disney Theme park items are available at disneystore.com, we sometimes buy items when we come back too.
