How much Money??

It all depends on what you have planned. If your just going to visit the parks, then a couple of hundred (outside of resort and ticket costs) should suffice. However if your planning on doing extra activities that require additional monies, then a higher amount should be taken, based on what you plan to spend. Its all based on what YOU think you will need.

Sorry, I don't seem to be much help huh?

No that helps a bit, I already have all my tickets paid for so thats a good thing. Im guessing that couple hundred, would be per day huh. I think the only things that i would be spending money on is food, drinks, and some merchandise. Im planning on taking somewhere inbetween 1000.00 to 1200.00. I guess ill just have to see, cause im not sure what I think i need!!! I have horrible dreams about going to WDW and find out i have no money!!!

As PurpleDragon stated...it depends on what you have planned. Assuming you already have room/tix paid for, give us a rough itinerary and we'll have a better idea of what to tell you. Are you going to be eatting counter service? Table service? Character meals? I would bring a min of $300 but then again...it depends what you have planned.

Help us to help you.

Sorry...you answered as I was typing...$1000 is a nice size budget for 1 person. Have fun!!

Whenever I go to WDW I always take between $1500 and $2000 and then I also have my credit cards. I always spend between $500 to $800 at the World of Disney Store. I would always rather have too much then not enough.

Not exactly "$200 per day", unless your going to eat as much as a family of four, or your planning on buying a lot of merchandise.

I have taken trips to WDW by myself and I only spent a maximum of $40-$50 a day. Although I didn't buy any merchandise and pretty much skipped breakfast each day (got a Dolewhip instead).

I think $1000-$1200 would be plenty, it gives you enough money to be a bit flexible with your spending and it also keeps you from having to worry about running out of money, unless your a big spender.

I would think that would be plenty. I usually carry about $100 a day for any trip plus I have my credit cards as a backup. I havent ever had to use them though!!! A lot of it depends on how much you are going to spend on food, souveniers, tours, etc. What are your basic plans and maybe we can get a closer dollar figure?? Belle

My wife and I try to keep it to $100 a day for the both of us. This does not include our resort and we already have AP's. It also can go up if we go to a more expensive restaurant or PI at night.

Well my first day there ill be heading over to the ESPN club to watch the pats game, have a couple pops, and some snackies. I have PS arrangements for the Luau at the Poly on monday, and PS for Cirque Du Soleil on Wednesday in which both are already paid for. PI a couple nights, and the rest is going to be counter service. I have a couple of friends that are staying at the Wilderness Campground and they had mentioned something about a "sorta kinda" grocery store there that we can buy dinner and cook it ourselves at the trailer. So that may be cheaper than counter service for a couple nights. yea? no? Breakfast will problably be the normal resort, bagel w/creamcheese. Unfortunatly....a credit card is not an option. so whaddya think? 1000.00 good enough?

Easting counter - no worries. Don't forget if you are at Animal Kingdom to get the Meal voucher - It's about $12 and covers a main course and soda with vouchers to use later in the day for an ice cream or Popcorn and a bottle of soda.

Should be more than enough. As far as a credit card, I would strongly suggest you getting one if you ae over the age of 18. I DONT suggest breaking the credit limit and paying it off for the remainder of your life though. Once you start traveling a credit card becomes a much easier way to do things such as booking rooms, renting a car ( In some cases it is impossible to do so without a credit card) etc. Certainly get into the habit of paying it off at the end of every month. In addition to making life easier for you it will improve your credit rating for bigger things in life such as a car loan or a house loan!! Belle

If I was traveling by myself I'd have to take more money than when I travel with my husband--he wouldn't be there to stop me from buying everything in sight. :) Seriously, though, I would think $1000 would be more than sufficient.

From what I recall:

20oz soda : $2.50
Ice cream bar (cart service ) $3.50
Counter service in parks (burger/fries/drink) $10.00
Most sit down dinning (lunch - avg entree, etc) $20.00 incl tip.

Merchandise -

baseball caps - 12.00 - 25.00
golf shirts - $45.00
T-shirts - $25.00
sweat shirts - $55.00-65.00
other (anything you could possibly think of) $1.00 - infinity

These are from "rough" memory, but can give you an idea of what to expect. I would think if you had $200 per day you would be ok if you didnt go crazy on merchandise. Most of the items in the parks can be found in the Disney Store in DTD. I would recomend going to DTD first and looking around, see if you find something that catches your eye, then see if you find it in the parks. Normally, I have found, that I tend to talk myself out of big ticket items during this "cooling of period". But if you still want it, then you can get it, even if you have to go back to DTD to get it. Remember, you can have your purchases delivered back to your resort so you dont have to carry them with you in the parks.

Hope this helps.

Pick them up at the counter restaurant - I know they do them at Tusker House, Flame Tree Barbeque and Pizzafari. You can use the ice cream and bottle soda coupons at any of the carts throught the park.

Here is the Flame Tree Barbeque menu with details of the coupon at the bottom

From the above page you can navigate to all the other menus.

In addition to this information take into account that a nice sit down middle of the road restaurant may fill you up to the point of allowing for two full meals rather than three. Also drink refills at sit down restaurants are included whereas at the counter service ones they arent. Check out the menus for all the places to eat in Disneyworld located on our friend Deb Wills' website www.allearsnet.com
The menus specifically are located at http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm
Something to think about!! Belle

When I go there by myself, I stay there for 4 days. For meals and souvenirs, it usually costs me 500$ for the stay, so for 6 days... I'd need 750$.
