Not talking about tickets or lodging. Just on meals, souveniers, snacks, etc. Also let us know how big your travel party is.

Ok this is just a ballpark figure:

We are a family of six;
Myself
Wife
3 daughters ages 18, 8 and 6
Grandmother

On a typical day in the parks
Light breakfast-$35
One counter service meal-$65
One table service meal-$85
Various snacks/water-$30
Souveniers-$20

Grand Total-$235

I may be low balling a little here. It's been two years since we've been to the parks so my memory is hazy.

It can vary a good bit depending on if we are or are not doing a TS meal. If we go on the cheep and do all CS will will spend around $120 +/- per day. That number can go over $200 if we mix in a TS meal.

I think we keep things pretty frugal for a family our size. We don't tend to do souveniers every day of the trip so really our daily average is closer to $200 for six people. That's about $34 per person per day. Not too shabby.

My family of 4 which includes a 14 year old girl and a 4 year old boy, we go through about $250 at Magic Kingdom and about $175-$200 at the other 3 parks.

My party usually consists of 4 adults and 1 child.

Last year we dined at 1 or 2 table service restaurants per day(dinner/breakfast) = $150/$250

usually some snacks during the day = $40(bakery, drinks, hot dogs)

souvenirs maybe 2-3 times throughout the week = $250.

Usually one show per week(CRT, spirit of aloha) = $200

occasionally off site buffet or counter service instead of 2nd table service = $50.

wow...we spent a lot:ROFLOL:..I guess that equals about $300 per day:shrug:

For our family, it's 2 adults, 1 9 year old, and twin 3 year olds. Most days we do a light breakfast, 1 counter service meal, 1 table service meal, and assorted snacks. I'm figuring on $300 per day.

lately i have been spending not a lot being a college student. i Try to eat breakfast out of the park and bring snacks. What i do buy is ice cream which is at most $4 i think and then dinner i go all out and spend around $45 usually at crystal palace or beirgarten. so i guess around $50 for me made an extra $10 on the fruit smoothies!

I'm a college student as well, and I usually do solo trips.

Breakfast - Usually off site, grab a muffin or toast. I'm not a breakfast person.

Lunch - CS at one of the burger places on site. $10 at most

Dinner - Also CS, but I usually splurge and get dessert along with it. $15

Snacks - Always get a Mickey Bar. Along with other assorted snacks. I tend to snack alot. $25

Souvenirs - Heh, here's where I get expensive. I just can't resist a good T-Shirt, or a new Pin. $30 give or take.

So that's about $80 per day.

you can eat a table service meal for 6 people on only $85?!?!?!? In my experience most table service for 2 people runs about $60!

Anyway my TYPICAL day costs us about $25 for 2 people in the park. :animwink:

If you choose the less expensive entrees and forego appetizers and desserts you can do most table services economically. Plus we still have two small ones ordering from the children's menu which helps.

Again though, I said I was a little hazy so that figure could be a tad off.

Forgot about the children! We don't usually get appetizers or desert at our TS meals either, entrees are usually about $17-22 a person, plus drinks are about $2.95 or so. So without tax and tip we're at about $50 for 2 adults. So I think you're numbers might be a little on the low side! no worries though!

We're all water drinkers so that takes the cost down at meals as well. But you're right...my numbers are still probably a tad low.

you have the cost savings thing down! :D

Ya got that right! When you're professional in the performing arts business it's something you learn to perfect quickly! :ROFLOL:

But yeah, save for our last trip in '08 which was financed by gameshow winnings and as such was a major blow out, our trips our always very budget oriented.

I always wondered what people did with their winnings from shows like that....

Well other than paying off our debt...getting tons of much needed work done on the house...spoiling the kids a little...we took a blow out two week WDW trip! It was one of those...you want it? you got it! type trips where we just did, ate, and bought what our hearts desired!

And now the IRS wants theirs...which is why our NEXT trip is a LONG way off...lol

We have maxed out our room card before :sohappy:

Usually for the wife and I we eat 2 counter services and a snack each: Total $100

Also we buy about $50/day in souvenirs.

Ecery other day we get a sit down dinner onstead of a counter.

I'd say about $180- $200.

Next year we are taking our 20 month old so I'd say that will go up to about $182- $202, or somewhere in that neighborhood.
