How much longer does the Electrical Parade have?

I don't think it's going anywhere sometime soon. It was rumored off and on a few times that Spectro might make a return in the last few years, but I think we are with MSEP for the long run. Especially given that Spectro has been...uh, destroyed. I don't think it looks outdated, and every time I watch it, there's loads of people cheering and going wild for it. Someone once told me MSEP ranks higher on guest satisfaction surveys that Spectro ever did. I believe it.

The MSEP is as much a fixture to WDW as Haunted Mansion or Pirates, in my opinion. (It's well documented here in previous posts how much I love this parade...) If anything, a little bit of upgrades, maybe a new float or two, would be nice.

Anyone know what exactly happened to WDW's orignal copy of the MSEP after it was shipped to Hong Kong?? Was it destroyed? It's a shame we still have no Dumbo section anymore (or small world for that matter!).

Someone did once tell me back in 2011 that Spectromagic was going to come back with very similar units but put out as the same show. If that's true a release as early as 2012 wouldn't make as much of a ripple as it would if they were to wait a few years. Spending the money to release a brand new parade and put it out as something that only went on a 90 day hiatus would be such a financial waste, there going to want to release then when every one knows it's gone so they can build up more so it will get the same audience as a brand new parade. Replacing a show with the same thing at full price after a year would me marketing suicide.
