Howdy! Just wondering how much people are paying for their On site resort/hotel stays. If you could post how much you paid per night or total, where, when and if you got any discounts/specials! Planning to book for early in 2016 just trying to get estimate of hotel costs.
THANKS!!

That is such a wide variable. You can pay anywhere from $29 a night in the fall at an Econolodge over on 192 to thousands for a suite or villa at an onsite location. Can you be more specific regarding your wants or needs?

Room only (preferred) in October at a Value for about 750.00 for 7 nights, tax included. Got a pin code in June for dates that weren't yet available to general public.

Our last stay we had the PSD package and no matter how much you beg WDW will NOT give you a breakdown of how much went to what (food, tickets, hotel).

Im interested in doing the PSD plan, My plan is 1-20-16 - 1-26-16....should I wait until Oct when the PSD comes out to book my room, or should I book my room ASAP and call when the discount is released to get the price adjusted and add my tickets/dining??

This is a very personal question not unlike, "How much money do you make?" Or "How much did you pay for your house/car?" Prices are posted on Disney's site and you can do the math yourself if you check for historical discounts on http://www.mousesavers.com/historical-information-on-walt-disney-world-resort-discounts/#2015
I don't think its too far out there. There is an entire thread on the disboards entitled "How much are you spending on your 2015 vacation?" and people break down their entire trip, down to dvc dues.

I just rented distressed points at $8/point from the Timeshare Store for 3 nights at SSR studio 8/15-18. So $384 or $128/night.

For the other nights I stayed this year on my DVC, it is more complex cost based on the initial buy in cost of points spread over the remaining years plus the annual maintenance fees. For 3 nights early Dec at AKL Kidani Standard Studio and 7 nights in a BCV Studio in Early June the cost averaged $78.23/night. This doesn't include the lost earning potential of the initial investment over the years, so it is skewed in favor of a lower rate.

We also were able to add a night onto the BCV trip when some inventory became available just 30 days before our trip and The TImeshare Store had points available at $10/point. That additional night cost $160 and we were able to stay in the same studio we had been in all week.

I like them personal questions! I'm wearing green underwear today :p

I was looking in to DVC rental points as well, would like to stay at animal kingdom for my stay, but 14/per point is a little expensive for my taste
It is a beautiful place and $14 per point is not bad for what you get. Great resort. Sometimes you can rent points for less, then it becomes a real bargain.

I know you said for your taste and I'm not saying this to you personally - more as an exercise in me playing out numbers.

14/point where the owner gets 11/point and broker gets 3/point.
Owner is paying around 5/point for maintenance, so profit is (6 or less)/point

It's not cheap but it is cheaper than rack or any AP, seasonal or discounted rate and it isn't really super inflated based on Owner costs.

That said, I don't like paying 14/point either :D - I tend to book last minute rentals at 8-10/point when I can either replace an exisitng room only reservation at no penalty or I can justify another trip (active AP and airline points)

I always average around $100 a night at All-Star Sports and that's using the general WDW discount. The rate is a preferred room and it's been that price in April, August, September and October. If things are too expensive for a resort you can split your stay between 2 hotels, especially nice since Disney will transport your luggage between the resorts for you.

I would book now knowing that I may have to change hotels depending on PSD availability. We had originally booked at POFQ but had to change to CSR to get the discount. When I called to add the discount, we added an additional day and still saved about $900!!

I don't think it's a personal question, it's a public knowledge sort of thing, plus the question is in a forum where they probably don't know anyone, so not personal. You don't have to answer if you don't want to, and you're not put on the spot so you can just choose not to answer.
I don't remember exactly but we paid close to $800 for 6 nights, in November at Pop. This included free dining.
